maria: 17 years ago i lost my son, and i believe that i have found him again. i told who i think is the father, he is unsure, but said he would try to love the boy, even if he is not my... our son.

maury: lets bring maria out, maria *maria walks out and sits next to maury* so maria, what will you do if he is not your son?

maria: well, i will try and stay in touch, but i will still search for my real son.

maury: so what is his name?

maria: when he was born my son was called jr, but the boy here today is called yusei fudo.

maury: well, we have your supposed son here, lets see what he has to say.

yusei: i don't remember my parents, only what people have told me, it was hard growing up in the satilite, especially without any parents, so i would love it if maria was my mother, even if she isn't, i would like to stay in touch

maury: yusei come on out. *yusei walks out and sits next to maria.* so how do you feel about this yusei?

yusei: i would love to have a proper mother and father, i thank my foster mother for every day she put into raising me, but i need to know this.

shadow: i never had a mother or a father, i was created in a lab on the space colony Ark, if yusei is my son, then i will take care of him, and even if he is not, i would still give him all the help he asks for.
