Prologue
WARRIOR CATS: Raincalw's story.
I don't own Warriors, this is my own warriors story; maybe a bit like Firestar's. I enjoyed reading the series and wanted to write a fan fiction of it!
Kitty stared across at her gate, her grey short fur shining. She longed to go see what it was beyond her humans gate. Her pale green eyes glimmer in the light of the full moon. She could hear noises, of strange cats far away. Her hearing was better than most cats. She looked at the full moon and listened to the noises.
'We need more warriors!' screeched a cat far away. Kitty wondered what it could be, maybe she would find out one day.
As the night grew long she headed to the dry flower patched and listened more to the cats rambling on. She sat down, her paws neatly tucked under her and fell asleep.
A strange cat stood in the clearing of a sandy bank. It began talking,
'Now Rainpaw, how do we catch a mouse?' it said to her. At once another cat burst through the bushes,
'HELP! THUN-'
Kitty shook the nightmare from her head, and stared awake, what was that about? …
Chapter 1
Kitty glared at the forest ahead of her, what wonders would lie in there, all the hunting that could be done… She smiled to her self; what a great place it must be to live in a real forest. She leaped from the flower patch and onto the fence before clambering down. She scented the air, and fresh forest smells came into her mouth, she gleamed happily; before rushing into the welcoming forest. She looked around with new eyes, it was huge! She could scent other cats but that didn't matter, as for now she would begin exploring. She trotted past many trees, she scented more cats, and the scent became stronger; she was so enhanced by this she didn't even notice the flaring of an orange cat approaching. He stared at her with green eyes, titled his head to the side before wandering over.
'Excuse me.' Came the words from the cat, Kitty nearly jumped out of her skin. She stood in shock.
'… What're you doing here?'
'I-I-I, I don't know!' she wailed like a kit.
'You smell like a house cat, are you lost?' He kindly replied.
'The forest scent… It was just so… Strong… So fresh.' she replied.
The tom looked at her with new eyes now, he sat down before speaking.
'You were just like me.' he replied. 'I love the forest, I wasn't ever forest born; but it was like it was meant to be.' He mewed.
'Wow! That's cool!'
'You seem… Decent, how would you like joining Thunderclan? I'm Firestar, you are?'
'Thunderclan? Oh I'm Kitty…'
'Ah, yes see in this great forest lies four clans destined, there is Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Riverclan and Windclan. As a clan you work together; hunt for food and fight for what is rightfully yours. It's amazing; and I am glad to be a part of it.' he mewed.
'I suppose I can see what its like?' she replied.
The flaming cat nodded as a signal to follow, Kitty followed him, awaiting her destiny. They padded through golden leaves; full of reds and oranges, and passed a huge tree and lots of small shrub. Kitty could hear mice in the under growth and was tempted to catch her first prey. She was led on by Firestar, when they arrived in front of a hollow, the tom went on under; it was covered in holly leaves and bramble. She followed; getting a little scratched by the holly leaves. Laied a head of kitty was a clearing; and lots of cats. They started staring at her and questioning, she felt looked upon. Before she could flee from this place, the cat she met leaped upon a rock and began to speak.
