Botan was in a hurry,spending the last hour shopping for the perfect gift
for a certain someone who captured her heart.
"Excuse me,miss."as she ran past someone.
His emerald eyes caught sight of her."I beg your pardon?"
he asked."I said excuse me-Oh,it's you,Kurama!"Botan laughed nervously.
"What are you holding there,Botan?"
"...Well,it's a gift for...someone."
(start flashback)
Botan's favorite time of the year had to be Christmas.
Everyone's spirits were lifted at this time of year.
Buying gifts for friends and family alike.
Yup,Christmas was her favorite time of the year.
around a corner she saw a small figure looking
at a huge department store.A red scarf around his face.A blue hat concealing his
rebellious hair.
Naturally she assumed it was her sweet natured friend.
Hiei growled. What was he thinking -shopping for her?
but he did want to see her smiling face...on Christmas day.
"Can I help you,sir?"asked a thin woman in glasses.
"Hn,how much is that one?"he asked pointing to a gold necklace with a pink sapphire gem.
"That's on sale, you like me to ring it up for you?"

Botan arrived at her apartment all
she had to do now is wait for her friends to arrive.
One by one they showed up,except for Hiei.
The male koormie was sitting outside the deity's apartment in a tree.
He wanted to get Botan out of there-
The door opened and Shizuru stepped out,lighting up a cigarette.
"Man,it's freezing."she mumbled,putting it out-rejoining the others.
"Botan,there's a certain somebody who wants to see you."
"Who,Shizuru?"
"Go see for yourself."pushing her out.
"...Hello?"
Out of character he jumped down,hiding behind her.
"Hn,onna.."
Botan spun around.
Did she imagine it?..it was him.
She turned around at the warmth,his arm around her.
"...Onna.."his voice dark.
"..Yes?"Botan fell weak how she loved him.
"...Hiei?"
"Hn."
"Merry Christmas..."she whispered leaning towards him for that perfect kiss.
Instead she felt something cold and metallic.
Jumping back startled."..Hn,what's wrong?"he asked sounding bitter.
"..Um..."she felt it against her skin looking down she saw the necklace.
"..Is this for me?"
"Hn."Hiei confirmed,pulling her to him.
They were unaware of several pairs of eyes watching them.
"Just kiss her already!"shouted Yusuke.
"What was that,detective?"Hiei barked."What's the matter,Hiei?"Yusuke chuckled.
Hiei unsheathed his katana.
"Holy crap!" exclaimed Yusuke.
Both raven haired males took off-a game of cat and mouse ensued.
