"Well," says the Doctor, frantically adjusting the knobs of the Tardis. "This is obviously because of a quantum wobble in the temporal time frame of dimensional…" He trails off, realizing Rory will have no idea what he's talking about.
Just some minor details a little bit off. Nothing to be worried of."
He glances over at Rory with an extremely worried expression on his face. Rory looks down at the ground, nervous.
"That does not look like a 'nothing to be worried about' face," comments Rory.
The Doctor shrugs and flicks a line of switches. "I'm sure we'll find Amy. We always do. Sure, usually, we're on the same planet and in the same dimension, and not halfway across the universe with no clue where she could possibly be, but we'll still find her!"
Rory stares at him. "You're not making me feel any better."
He sits and stares up at the ceiling, hoping the Doctor will figure something out. The Tardis jolts to a stop, and the Doctor opens the door.
"So, where are we now?" asks Rory.
The Doctor looks around. "I don't know."
"Great," sighs Rory. He steps out of the Tardis and follows the Doctor, having no idea of where he's being led.
"So, is this place safe?"
"Well," says the Doctor. "No places are safe, really. There's always something that could happen, even if it's just tripping on a rock or being startled, or choking from poisonous gas."
"I might be wrong," says Rory. "But is that a no?"
The Doctor doesn't respond.
"Am I going to die again?"
The Doctor turns back to him. "I don't know everything. I know it's strange. You thought I was the smartest man in the universe. You thought I had all the knowledge in the world, but I don't."
Rory doesn't respond, annoyed at, and not understanding, the Doctor's constant outbursts of self-doubt.
"You're not going to die, though," the Doctor assures him. "Not here, at least."
