"Take care Kaede-kun."
Sakuragi smiled and gave Rukawa quick a kiss as he waved goodbye to his husband.
"Please take care. Kaede-kun." he whispered with both hands tightly close.
Rrriiinnnggg. rrriiinnnggg. rrriiinnnggg.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!!!" Hanamichi rushed down the stairs to answer the phone.
"Konichiwa!!!" A cheerful voice greeted Hanamichi as he picked up and answered the phone.
"Haruko-san???" he answered with uncertainty.
"Unn." Haruko answered and nodded. (as if Hana-kun can see her o_O)
"Why did you call? It's really late."
"Gomen Hana-kun, I didn't mean to wake you up." Haruko's voice was not that enthusiastic than before.
"No no Haruko-chan. It's ok. It's ok.. I wasn't asleep anyway." Sakuragi tried his best to not hurt haruko's feelings.
"Rukawa-kun again, huh?" she asked a bit sad for her bestfriend.
*silence*
"I see." Haruko nodded as she gently stroke her chin. "He has been doing this for some time now, Hana-kun." She paused. "Do you think he's up to something?"
*silence*
Sakuragi's face turned sad as the thought of his beloved Koi sleeping with another woman, or a man, that is. Rukawa-kun has been going out for "work" as he says so for some time now. And it seems kind of strange that he goes out day and night and comes home really early in the morning.
Sakuragi has been bothered by these thoughts for some time now. And he can't help but think that his Koi doesn't love him anymore and that he hasn't been good in bed or anything.
He felt so sad that he almost felt like crying as he remembered his husband again.
"Hello? Hana-kun? Are you still there?" Haruko-chan was worried that his best friend might do something bad to himself. "Hana-kun. Please answer me. Are you ok?" Haruko tried to wake her best friend up from being lost in the bitter thoughts of his husband.
"." Sakuragi was awakened by the voice speaking in the other end of the line.
"Yes, Haruko-chan, I'm ok. Don't worry about me" Hanamichi tried to sound ok.
Haruko let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god you're still alive. Don't worry Hana-kun. We'll know what he's up to sooner or later."
"I'll be okay Haruko-chan. Thanks for worrying about me. Anyways, he'll come back tomorrow morning anyway. I'll be alright." Sakuragi sounded happy and contented so Haruko said goodbye to her best friend and hang up the phone.
As Sakuragi hang up the phone, he let out a sigh of either relief or sadness, one may not know.
Rukawa tip toed across the floor to reach their bed and carefully slipped his body between the sheets of the soft warm bed. He silently tried to feel if Sakuragi would wake up by his arrival. And as soon as he felt assured that his husband was asleep, he closed his eyes and went to sleep.
As soon as he heard the creak of the door opening outside the bedroom, Sakuragi knew that it was his husband coming home from work.
He first thought that he would go out of bed and welcome his husband after a hard day's work, but as Rukawa went closer to bed, he smelled the bitter scent of liquor on his body and thought that it would be better to keep silent at that time.
Kaede. what is it that I cannot give you?.
Sakuragi asked himself silently and tears went falling down from his cheeks.
He kept silent. He knew the tragedy it would cause for the both of them if he would confront him. He was scared. Scared that his Koi would leave him because of things that he cannot do to satisfy him.
He cried all those time. Suppressing the bitter tear that has caused him to sleep.
Poor Sakuragi.. He always thought that he would be happy with the one he loved.
Sakuragi smiled and gave Rukawa quick a kiss as he waved goodbye to his husband.
