Disclaimer: Seriously! I don't own this series!

It's Christmas eve in the Jackson house and Percy knew he had forgotten something.
Was it the ham?
No, he got that yesterday.
How about the Christmas cards?
Nope, those were sent out months ago.
Maybe the presents?
Na-ah, they're all there, underneath the Christmas tree.
Could it be the li-
Oh no.
He's remembered what he forgot now.
It's pretty bad.
She's going to kill him.
Percy picked up his phone and turned it on. He had about twenty missed calls.
Five he can deal with.
Ten he starts apologizing.
At fifteen he runs.
But twenty?
That's a new record.
His phone rings. It's an annoying sound. Maybe he should change it.
Or smash it and stay safe.
But he answers anyway.
"Hello?" he almost asks.
"Perseus Jackson, why haven't you been answering your PHONE?"
Yeah, she's angry.
"I, er, forgot to turn it on?"

"Annabeth?" he asks worriedly.
"Oh, is that all? I thought it was hellhounds or maybe the Furies, but the reason I've been waiting at the AIRPORT for FIVE HOURS is because you left your phone OFF?"
"Um... Yeah."
An angry scream ends the phone call.
Does that mean he still has to go pick her up? Or can he stay safe at home?
It's better not to risk it, he decides, he'll ask Nico to pick her up for him.
He's the son of Hades, it's not like he'll have a bad afterlife or anything.
