Annie Camden was on her way to pick up her daughter Lucy, when she felt the pain come. She had just parked and was about to get out when she clutched her heart. Her door was open and she fell to the ground. Lucy, who was standing by the curb, ran to her mother, who was now crowded by people. Lucy pushed her way through, announcing that this was her mother, the whole way. She looked in horror, her suspicions confirmed. Her mother was having a heart attack. She saw an ambulance pull up.

"Back away, please, people. Are there any relatives we can call?" An ambulance attendant asked the crowd of people.

"I'm.. I'm her daughter." Lucy spoke up.

"Your mom is having a myocardial infarction, or in Laymen's terms, a heart attack. A pretty bad one. Get in the ambulance, with us. NOW!" another attendant shouted.

Lucy nodded and got in the ambulance after her mother and the medics. She was crying. The first attendant, Charlie, sat beside Lucy.

"We called your dad, Lucy, and now my partner, Jack and I want to start your mom on some stuff to help her heart, okay?"

Lucy nodded. The paramedic inserted an I.V. into her mother's arm. She was crying inside, and could feel tears falling down her face.

An hour later, Eric Camden sat in the waiting room. A doctor was talking to him.

"Your wife suffered a severe myocardial infarction. She is going to need to be in the hospital for a while and then take it very easy. She will be okay, in the long run, though, Mr. Camden."

Eric felt he could breathe again. He knew his wife was going to be okay.

"How long will she be in the hospital?"

"She will have to stay for probably ten to fourteen days. It was a really bad one, Mr. Camden."

Eric went to visit his wife in the ICU five hours later. She was lying in the bed, an oxygen tube in her nose.

"Hi, dear, how are you, Annie."

"Eric?"

"Yes."

"I had a heart attack, Eric"

"I know, hone. Dr. Miller told me."

"The kids are worried. Dr. Miller said it was pretty bad. How are you feeling?"

"Weak. Sore."
