So this was a story idea I was playing with . . . Tell me what you think
Prologue
"I cannot stay," the woman said, her robes the color of spring grass, and hair the color of freshly tilled earth. "I may not come back."
"But . . ." the man started, his hand reaching toward the woman whose eyes wouldn't open.
"Silence." the woman replied, her voice firm. "I have given you what you wanted, now let me go. If I do not, I will never open my eyes, and I will never see you or my child. I will never get my revenge. Love, remember my name, and someday you will will be in my embrace again." With that the woman dissolved in a swirl of dirt.
"Gaea, I will always remember you."
He turned to the cradle, and the baby in it. She resembled her mother with her beautiful brown hair, and brown skin. Her eyes were green, with sunbursts of blue and brown, like the earth that is her mother.
"I will always love you."
