The Life of an Intern
Chapter 1
Meredith Grey walked down the hospital corridor of Seattle Grace clutching a patient's chart to her chest. She was on her way to the cafeteria for her break after working for twelve hours; she desperately needed a cup of coffee while she evaluated the patient's information.
Isobel Stevens scrubbed her hands before tying her mask, and putting on her gloves. Her supervisor was allowing her to scrub in on a surgery. The patients name was Emily Myers and her chart said that she was fifteen years old. She had appendicitis and her appendix had to be removed immediately.
This would be one of her first surgeries since becoming an intern, although she knew that Dr. Bailey or the Nazi as other interns called her would not actually let her do anything except observe she felt excited. She walked through the double doors leading to the ER where doctors were already prepping the girl.
