True Love

True love,
Such a wonderful thing,
But does it exist?
I thought I had known it so many times before,
With Gaeriel, Callista, them all.
But I had been wrong.
Why should I be right now?
Maybe it does exist,
But I'm just not worthy.
For something has happened,
That has torn me away from everyone I thought I loved.
Should I again take the risk,
Of being disappointed and losing Mara?
Yes, I will,
And I will not let anything separate us,
As has happened in the past.
No, our love is so powerful,
That nothing can stop it.
I will not let anything stop it.
I know Mara is the one for me.
We should be together,
We have to be.
We must be.
It is my destiny to be with her,
And I will.
I guess true love does exist,
But only on rare occasion.
And I have been lucky enough,
To find Mara,
My soul mate.
I cannot pass up this chance,
Just because I'm scared it will end in disaster.
I will put my fears aside,
And say those magic words.
I have not a shadow of a doubt,
As I say the words,
"I do."
