HIIII! I hope you guys enjoy this story and enjoy the many chapters to come. Please review so I know how I'm doing. Thanks! =)

I'm only going to do this disclaimer once.

I do not own TMNT, only my OC Ashleigh.

Hello, my name is Ashleigh. I have shoulder length dirty blond hair, ocean blue eyes, and fair skin. Nothing special. But what is pretty special is that I have been living with the guys and Splinter since I was two years old. I remember when I first meet them. There was darkness and this horrible coppery smell. There was this light and I remember walking towards it and as I walked through the light I stared at what seemed to be a home. There was some furniture and blankets on the ground with some food on the table. I was very hungry and when I reached for one of the shiny red apples a wise man's voice broke through the silence.

"May I ask how you got here, child?"

I turned around and there standing before me was this giant black and brown human-sized rat with a robe on and a cane in his right hand. I immediately thought I was in trouble for trying to take the food without permission. My eyes ducked down and my long hair made a curtain around my face. My arms went behind my back as I swished my foot across the floor.

"I'm sorry, sir. I was just really hungry…" I said as my eyes began to fill with tears.

The rat's eyes softened as he started walking over to me with his cane tapping on the floor with each step he took. He knelt down in front on me and lifted my face only to revealed my flushed cheeks and puffy red eyes.

"It is alright, but you never answered my question. How did you end up all the way down here. I'm sure your family is worried sick about you." The rat said with concern in his voice.

My eyes scrunched in confusion. I couldn't remember anything about my family. Nothing at all. All I can remember was the darkness and that smell and everything that happened up to here.

I wiped my eyes and stared the rat in the eyes.

"I-I can't remember anything! I don't even know if I have a family…" I said.

The rat sighed sadly and brought his hands up to my shoulders.

"It's alright, child. Just tell me what you do remember." He said.

I sniffed, "All I remember is this darkness and this bad smell and then I was here!"

I rubbed my nose, "Why can't I remember anything?" I asked.

The rat brought me into a hug.

"Sh, it's alright. With time your memories will hopefully return and then your questions will be answered." He said softly.

I hugged him tightly and buried my face into his soft fur.

"B-but where can I go. I don't know what to do now." I said.

The rat pulled us apart and smiled.

"You shall stay here" The rat said, "If that is what you would like."

I gave a toothy smile and jump in the air and hugged him.

"Oh, thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU!" I said happily.

The rat chuckled and hugged back.

"Now if you are going to be staying here you must meet my four sons." He says as he pulled back.

"Okay, are they rats like you?" I asked.

The rat grabbed my hand and we started walking.

"Well, let's go see them and you will find out. Hm?" He replied.

We walked down a hall into what looked like a playing area and in the area were four turtles. They looked to be about my age and each one was different from the other. The tallest out of the four was missing a front tooth and had a purple bandana around his eyes, the second had a blue one, the third had an orange one, and the fourth had a dark red one. I watched as they played with each other. The purple one was building what looked like to be an airplane, the blue one was playing with cards, and the red one was chasing the orange one. They were playing tag I think.

I started getting excited and was eager to play with them, but my shyness was getting in the way.

"My sons," The rat said breaking the turtles out of their play. "there is someone here I would like all of you to meet."

All eyes were on me and they smiled and approached me. The one in blue spoke.

"Who is this father? Why is she here?" He questions.

The rat places his hand on my shoulder.

"She has lost all of her memory and has nowhere to go, so she will be living with us from now on and…" The rat paused and looked at me, "I apologize child but I believe that I never got your name."

That was the only thing I actually DO remember.

I smiled and said, "It's Ashleigh, sir."

The rat smiled, "Ah, a wonderful name. I am Splinter, but you may call me father if you'd like." He then gestures to his sons, "This is Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael."

I waved slightly, "Hi…" I said shyly.

Michelangelo ran up to me and said, "HI! It's nice to meet you, Ashleigh!"

Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael weren't far behind.

Raphael came up next, "Hey, uh, you wanna play tag with us?" He asked.

My head perked up and my eyes glistened with joy.

"Sure, I'd love to!" I said excited.

And that's how my new life began. Everything was going great and when we all turned four father started teaching us an old japanese battle art. It was really fun! At the age of 11 we all had our own weapons. Leonardo the Twin Katanas, Donatello the Bo Staff, Raphael the Sais, Michelangelo the Nunchucks, and I got the Jutte with green handles. It's basically part katana part sai almost. Before we knew it, it was our 15th birthday and then our REAL adventure began.
