Family Doesn't End With Blood
DISCLAIMER: I do not own them but damn do I ever want to.
Sam, Dean and John were walking through the woods after hunting a wendigo. After sorting things out they decided it would be better if they started hunting together, it was safer for all of them after all.
"Sammy boy, I saved your ass out there!" Dean told him.
Sam protested, "You saved mine? I saved yours."
"I don't know what hunt you were watching," Dean retorted
"Hey, guys, I'm the dad, so I have to say watch your language and I'm the one that saved both your asses." John chuckled out.
Sam and Dean rolled their eyes and laughed.
Sam's cell rang through the quiet woods, he picked up,
"Hello?" Sam's eyes went dark as he listened, "Thanks for notifying me, yes, I'll be there," Sam hung up the phone.
"Sammy?" John and Dean questioned at the same time.
Sam put his phone in his pocket, turned around and started pounding on a tree with his bare fists.
Dean and John tried to get a hold of him to stop the youngest from hurting himself. He pushed them away and continued whaling on the tree.
"Sam, stop it!" John yelled in a demanding voice. "That's an order." Sam just kept pounding, the blood now pouring down his fists.
"Sammy, stop it right now!" Dean commanded.
"SAM!" Dean and John tried to snap him out of it. Sam just continued.
"All right, that's it!" he sighed ready to take action because he was fed up with Sam's outburst. Dean grabbed Sam, put his arm around his neck and held Sam's left arm. Sam was trying desperately to get out of Dean's grasp.
John was watching helplessly from the sidelines, he knew that Dean would be the only one who would know how to calm Sam down. After all that's the way he had raised him.
"You need to calm down, little brother. You're not going anywhere until you do," Dean told him
"I AM CALM!!" Sam screamed.
"Try again," Dean said calmly.
Sam breathed in and out a few times calming himself and then quietly stated, "I am calm,"
"You promise me if I let you go, you're not going to pound on an old defenceless tree?" Dean asked.
"I promise," Sam said. Dean stayed still for a second and then determined Sam was telling the truth, he slowly let him go.
"Let's just go," Sam sighed and turned around ready to head to the impala.
"No," John told firmly.
"What? Why?" Sam asked confused.
"We're not leaving these woods until you tell us what's going on," Dean told him.
Dean and John settled against two trees. Sam sighed; it was going to be a long night.
