Naruto jumped out of a tree. It was pretty high so he had to make sure he landed properly or he could hurt himself. He landed properly. It was great. He cheered himself on in his usual fashion.
"Go me! I'm the best! Believe it!" Naruto yelled, excitedly as he started running back to the village.
By the time he got home he was winded, so he sat down for a while. After he caught his breath he got up and boiled some water for his instant noodles.
He sat back down as the water boiled and passed the time by idly thinking of all the training he had done that day. Before long the kettle had indicated that the water was ready by releasing a loud screeching sound.
Naruto jumped up and grabbed the kettle off the stove. A bit of water splashed on him as he poured it into his cup of noodles. The water was hot, so it slightly scalded his skin. His reaction implied that he was both surprised and he was not fond of the sensation in the slightest. He placed the lid back atop the instant noodle cup.
He let his noodles sit in the boiling water for about thirty seconds before removing the lid. He then wolfed down his ramen and fell exhausted into bed.
His thoughts turned to his friends and smiled.
The sun was setting and the horizon looked like it was on fire. If he had looked at it, he would have been delighted to see it. But he'd already fallen asleep.
