Written for english class. It was fun. :3

Disclaimer: Naruto belongs to Kishimoto and my high school belongs to...my town? I think?

"Tch…how troublesome…" Was all Shikamaru could say as he stared up at the (under construction) high school. He wasn't quite sure how he, of all people, had been sent on this mission. Come to think of it, what kind of mission was this, anyways? What kind of person pays for a ninja to go spend a day at an American high school? Probably someone who's very bored. Shikamaru sighed. "So troublesome…"

-shifty look- (. )(. ) ( .)( .) What? Don't look at me…

Shikamaru glanced at the schedule the vice-principal had handed him. He had Marine Biology first. The room number, for some reason, had the letter 'N' next to it. He wasn't sure what that meant, but he figured he would find out soon enough. Now to find the 100s…

Poor Shikamaru never did find his first class.

Having failed in attending that class, Shikamaru was very pleased in managing to find his 'homeroom', whatever that meant. The teacher invited him to participate in an odd sport called 'paper football'. He wasn't interested, but after he heard two girls near the door discussing on a method to kidnap him, Shikamaru decided that it was safer than the alternative.

That's me and Beta! Nu, Shika, let me kidnap youuu...

Next on his schedule was English. Shikamaru wasn't sure why that was a subject in an English-speaking country, but his overall experience had been very strange so far, so he figured this was just another oddity. He managed to find the room with minimal difficulty (he asked for directions). Despite his original thoughts, English did not, apparently, actually teach the language itself. He wasn't sure exactly what it taught, however, as he managed to fall asleep within five minutes.

You learn Spanish in Spanish, but you don't learn English in English! WUT.

After the restful English class, Shikamaru had Art. Like the confusing 'N' from the first class, this room number had an 'A' next to it. Unwilling to risk it again, Shikamaru wisely asked for directions before heading off. Once he found the classroom, he was immediately dragged back out into the hallway and given a paintbrush. Apparently, the class assignment was to paint the hallway black. Shikamaru really wished Naruto had been chosen instead of him.

I bet Naru-chan wouldn't mind if we kidnapped him…

Lunch was next. Shikamaru slept through it. Not in the cafeteria (since he couldn't find it), but in the courtyard that was near-by. Bit chilly.

He also slept through the rest of his classes.

Shikamaru woke up a few hours later tied up and gagged, surrounded by a group of people. He recognized the two creepy girls from homeroom. The group was quietly discussing the best way to transport him to a house, whose house it would be, and other things like food and hiding from authorities. One boy was also suggesting selling him on something called 'E-bay'.

Sometimes, Shikamaru really hated his life.
