Liar

I had known something was wrong with Zoey perhaps even faster than the others. I had watched her pull away from both of her boyfriends and us, her friends. I tried to pull her out of it time and time again and watched as she withdrew even more. I was amazed as she bonded with Aphrodite (AKA the hag from hell) and couldn't possibly understand why or how. I remembered that morning; technically night (it was our morning).

I had heard a sharp rapping on my door. I went to the door and was shocked to see Aphrodite. I was about to ask what happened when she spoke. "Come quick, it's Zoey, she's in trouble." That was all she told me. I didn't question because I could sense it was the truth.

It had turned out she had slept with Loren. Then, about two minutes after that, I discovered that Stevie Rae wasn't dead, and what was worse was that Zoey, as well as Aphrodite had already known. Then the icing on the cake was that Zoey imprinted with Loren.

I still wasn't certain what she had been crying about. Jack and I both had fantasized about sleeping with Loren (what gay wouldn't). I also knew that Erin and Shaunee had fantasized about it – and probably Aphrodite too. I remembered when she had cussed out Loren, and she never cusses; I had asked if he had used her for sex, and she had said it wasn't that. She hadn't told us what it was though, and I had a feeling she never would. I also had a feeling Aphrodite already knew everything.

I was worried for her, this was the second time she skipped a meal. I was scared that if she didn't start eating she'd reject the change. I wanted to forgive her and talk to her, but at the same time I wanted to strangle her.

Her comments and her secrets made me think that I was missing part of the story, and a large part at that. I also felt like it wasn't over.
