She looked at her phone and sighed. Juliet knew she could just delete it and ignore him a little longer. Yet, she didn't want to. She didn't want to stay mad at Shawn.
Sighing, she knew she made up her mind. She finished her work and went home. At her house she put on a nice blue dress and fixed herself up before heading to him.
On her way though she suddenly had an idea. She was then a half hour late meeting him and was a little happy at his worried expression.
He was waiting for her outside the office. "I was starting to worry you wouldn't show up" he greeted.
She gave him a small shrug. "I almost didn't" she admitted. Shawn reached down and took her hands. "I'm so sorry Jules, I swear I never meant to hurt you with this. I just honestly thought I was doing the right thing" he said.
She gave a small nod. "Yeah, I know you have a good heart Shawn but…"
"But I need to respect your wishes" he ended and she nodded. He gives a small sigh. "I really wasn't trying to hurt you Jules. I just know what its like to not get along with your father. Working with you and Lassie though has helped me find some kind of bond though. I know if I need help he'll be there for me. I just thought it be nice if you tried to reconnect with Frank is all" Shawn adds.
Juliet gives a nod. "I know, its why I decided to forgive you Shawn" she says and he smiles.
"Really?" he asks with a hopeful look and she nods with a chuckle. She goes back to her car and takes something off the front seat. it's a brown envelope and she gives it to him.
"I think this should answer that" she says. He raises a brow. "Just open it Spencer" she answers.
"I thought you're the birthday girl Jules" he teases and she smiles. "I am but I think you deserve this" she answers.
Shawn opens the envelope and takes out a single paper. It's a certificate and when he sees what is written he laughs.
"This is why I was late. I left my house and this idea hit me. Plus, I figured you deserved to stew a little bit" she says and he smiles.
"So I'm adopted from the pound and I'm a cute little pug now?" he asks and she nods.
"I love pugs and I love you Shawn Spencer" Juliet answers and he kisses her.
"I love you too Juliet O'Hara…now close your eyes…I have a surprise for you inside" he says and leads her to her surprise party.
