Skellington Night

One year after the events of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack Skellington makes a great Halloween with adding some odd Christmas influenced ideas he mentions during the song Poor Jack. The rest of the people of Halloween Town are also pretty happy, and Jack has a way better year this time, yet, the idea of Halloween still wears thin on Jack. However, he's been in some serious trouble since last Christmas.

Explorers found the scary place known as Halloween Town, after there was lots of investigation for the impostor Santa Claus, Jack's broken down sleigh was discovered and DNA Searched, with Jack being discovered to be behind all of it. Therefore, Jack Skellington has been banned from the real world in certain locations. Of course, they do not realize his real intention.

Jack decides to ask Santa Claus for help getting ideas, and even decides to bring him some milk and cookies as an apology for last year.

Dr. Finkelstein, after being pleased with his latest creation, he decides to build another one, a female vampire -like being named Ella, which he built in a similar fashion as Sally, except that the only part that can be dismembered is her head. Finkelstein happened to leave the body on a stretcher in the graveyard.

On his trip to the holiday worlds, specifically Christmas Town, he finds Ella's body, noticing a string on her neck, Jack decides to pull the one string to help Finkelstein get his creation intact.I

When Jack arrives in Christmas Town, he knocks on Santa's door. When Santa answers, he is incredibly shocked and instructs him to leave, ignoring everything Jack was about to say. Hurt, Jack leaves the milk and cookies on the ground and sadly walks away all the way back to Halloween Town.

It becomes evident to the residents of Halloween Town that Jack is upset, as they all were looking for him, and when he came back through the entrance, he came back looking really sad and halfway silent.

Word got to Sally, and she learned of Jack's situation, and she decided to visit Santa and speak with him, as it would be easier, considering that she had gained his trust, being that "She was the only one who made sense in the insane asylum".

In the meantime, Ella had figured out where Jack lives, and she finds him and meets him. He tells her a bit about himself, and mentions his error of last year. Shortly after Jack brought her to life, Ella followed him to the Holiday Doors, and she went through every single one over the course of 2 hours.

In Christmas Town, Sally flips out at Santa for kicking Jack out of Christmas Town, as he meant nothing and just wanted to ask a question, and she even discovers that Jack had brought Santa some milk and cookies. Santa realizes this and doesn't regret kicking out Jack, but he takes the milk and cookies, accepting Jack's gift rather thankfully.

Sally refuses to leave until Santa can suggest one idea, which Santa agrees to. His suggestion is that the Halloween Townspeople should celebrate their own Christmas when the day comes, but in Halloween Town and not the real world. Coming to that Santa has no ideas for Halloween, Sally leaves him, and keeps the one idea.

While Jack sits there, unhappy, he sits and thinks of what he could do. After many, many minutes of thinking (45 minutes to be exact), he comes to the idea of creating a holiday entirely based on his likeness. As Jack is quite an icon already associated with Halloween, he will have a similar night every year where he will show off a new act, with all it's weirdness it associates with. This is the idea that he plans to stick with, and he will speak of this as soon as he can have The Mayor call a Town Meeting.

Sally returns to Jack and explains that Santa had no ideas for Halloween, but he did suggest to have a Halloween Town rendition of Christmas, being it's only celebrated in Halloween Town. Jack finds this to be a great idea. However, thinking led to him remembering the concept of a Mall Santa, which he decides that he will do in the real world, much to Sally's dismay.

On December 6, Jack gets into the familiar Santa costume and finds a location that he wouldn't be recognized for his accident in. Also, he's going to have to take the place of a Real Santa by dethroning his position, so he can pass undetected. He's also not packing any presents, discovering that his gifts were living.

When he gets place as Santa, the kids have mixed reactions. Some kids consider Jack awesome, and others are terrified of him. However, one of the adults recognizes him as the Imposter Claus after he takes his head off, and is exhiled from the area by the cops. The cops also tell Jack that Christmas isn't for him to take over. It's for him to leave alone. Jack returns to Halloween Town, again disappointed, and saddened. He walks to the top of the Spiral Hill, in tears, as a result of being convinced he can't have a Christmas.

In spite of all, Jack enjoyed being Santa again, as kids did sit on his lap and treat him like Santa. It was the adults who ruined his fun.

While Sally and Jack have a conversation, which Ella listened in on from the bottom of the hill, who then calls a Town Meeting, which The Mayor is unsure of, but she then says Jack is having a rough time and wanted her to fill in for him. The Mayor then accepts and allows her to speak under the permission of Jack Skellington.

Ella insisted that the townspeople help out Jack and teach the real people a lesson for treating Jack the way they have been, and almost everyone agrees to it. However, Jack walks in before she can complete, and Ella gives him a rundown, and Jack tries to reword it a little bit. Ella then insists to Jack over the intercom that he has his own Holiday, and he likes and agrees to the idea.

December 9 will be the date of Skellington Night.

While Jack doesn't want to hurt anyone and sadly just accept people don't like him as Santa, Ella wants Jack to be happier. Therefore, she's going to attempt to punish people for it.

In an attempt to brighten up Jack, Ella brings him into Valentine's Town, with Zero. While Jack admires the place, he isn't feeling much better.

Meanwhile, Lock, Shock and Barrel are up to no good. They go around infiltrating Christmas Town for a way to cause mischief, when they encounter a prison similar to Oogie's lair, only this one includes Krampus, the legendary holiday demon, who was designed as an alternative for Santa Claus. As the legend has been forgotten by most people, Krampus was imprisoned. Lock, Shock and Barrel free him from his prison and keep him in Oogie's Lair.

December 9 rolls around and Jack and The Halloween Townspeople head into the real world, Ella puts Jack to a test. Whoever responds to Jack nicely gets spared, and whoever flips out... well.

While Ella prepared to kill someone, the neighborhood they had picked was actually very accepting of Jack and the rest of the people. Proving that Ella had to kill anyone, she thought, they all headed back home. But, Jack was still upset about the Christmas situation, and Ella decided to do one thing: What Jack did the year before, only this time, it's entirely intentional.

Ella has Lock, Shock and Barrel kidnap Santa again, this time with her assistance, so Santa has a clear motive that Jack has nothing to do with this, aside from being Ella's motive.

It's discovered Ella has some disadvantages over Jack, considering she isn't a skeleton and can't use Chimneys (discovers this the hard way), and has to find alternative entry.

After Ella begins Wrecking Havoc in some areas, and bringing normal gifts to others, Jack finds out what she is up to after Lock, Shock and Barrel can't keep it quiet. Jack rescues Santa, to which Santa lets him take place with Christmas Themed Presents and even lets him use his sleigh and reindeer.

Jack finds Ella and insists she ends her plot of revenge, and after a while, she gives up and lets Jack do his Job as Santa. Jack even runs into the kid he gave the decapitated head and he apologizes and gives the kid candy as a gift in Contrast.

Then, after a while, Santa takes Jack's place for other locations.

On Christmas Day, which goes a success, with Santa stopping by and delivering gifts to the Halloween Town residents, Ella calls Jack into Finkelstein's lair, where he has an entire population of creations, which he worked on for months. However, Lock, Shock and Barrel find Ella and capture her and Finkelstein for a brief amount of time.

Over the events of the story, they were able to maintain Oogie's Soul into a crate shortly after his demise, and when they open the crate, Oogie's Ghost comes out, and he is a giant, ghost like being, and he possesses all of Finkelstein's creations and turns them into Zombies, and lets them loose in order to wreak havoc. Their plan was to pull a prank on the town, but they do not realize what they are doing is very dangerous.

They seem to be unstoppable, as no matter what they get hit with, no matter how dismembered they become, they reassemble themselves and continue their rampage.

The Zombies capture Sally from The Spiral Hill and drag her into Oogie's Lair, contrasting, Lock, Shock and Barrel let loose of Ella and Finkelstein, then run away to avoid taking the blame, after realizing what they have done is going to cause lots of trouble.

Jack follows The Zombies to Oogie's Lair. In it, Oogie's Ghost is there, preparing to have his Zombie Army devour Sally, to which Jack learns that the only way to stop the Zombies is to defeat Oogie, and destroy his remains.

Jack figures out that he cannot do it easily, and struggles to do it. Lock, Shock and Barrel appear and begin mocking Jack. He demands them for a strategy to defeat Oogie, to which Ella comes in with Santa Claus stuffed in a body bag and tells the trio to take Santa somewhere safe, in exchange for Oogie's Crate, which they agree to.

However, Oogie sucks all the souls out of The Zombies and merges with them and becomes a Dragon.

The Dragon knocks over half the foundation of the well (the one Jack comes out of in This is Halloween), which starts a minor flood. Jack finds his Scarecrow Costume, which he dones, then he grabs an exposed rope off the ceiling and rescues Sally, gets her to a safe location, and he then takes a torch off the wall and lights himself on fire, and dives upward into The Dragon, bursting a hole right through it, with Oogie's Ghost coming out.

Jack lands in the flood, parting him with the flames and Scarecrow Attire. However, instead of dying, Oogie again uses the souls to turn himself into a Wolf. In the process, he steps into the water, making his foot dissolve back into a soul, and then back into a foot. The weakness of The Wolf is that every hit it takes, it loses part of it's body, and has to take a moment to put itself back together.

After a very intense battle, where it went as far as he was almost crushed by a collapsing ceiling, Jack is able to push The Wolf into the flood, dissolving it back into souls. The final form Jack must face is Oogie's Ghost, which was already a chore. Jack gets him back in his crate, and then places it into a Lava Pit, killing Oogie again.

After Jack questions Lock, Shock and Barrel, and discovers that this act was intended as a prank, which Jack seems to be pretty infuriated by, considering how it could have killed a lot of people, including himself, they let Krampus out of his captivity, who attacks Jack directly, as he has a lot to be blamed for, which leads into a battle between Jack and Krampus.

Despite Krampus not being as commonly known as Santa Claus, he was mentioned in one of the Christmas Books Jack read about, so he does know about him and who he is.

Krampus nearly gets the upper hand on Jack when Santa comes into stop him by smacking him right in the head with a board. Krampus is stuffed in a body bag, and taken back into captivity.

Santa and Jack thank each other for each other's help. Santa gives Jack a supply of presents to deliver to the residents of Halloween Town, even though they already had a Christmas earlier, but, Jack got a Christmas Present at that moment. An opportunity to be Sandy Claws. Even if it's in his own location, he still gets to do it, with even a blanket of snow to accompany him.

The last shot features Jack coming out of the well, with Sally at his side, and Ella at wrapped around his leg.
