*That night*
Brendan leans back in bed with a soppy grin on his face. It hasn't left him all day. Ste climbs into bed next to him.
"What you smiling about?" Ste says with a grin
"Daddy Brendan" he says with a little growl. "I like it"
"Awwww well I'm glad my babies are getting on with my wonderful new hunk" Ste says as he cuddles into Brendan
"They're great kids. Can't wait to spend more time with them, but…" Brendan says trailing off
"What?"
"Oh it sounds silly"
"Come on tell me"
"Do you think Lucas likes me? Like I don't scare him do I?"
"Don't be daft! You saved him, you're his hero… and mine"
"I'd do anything to keep you and those kids safe Steven"
"Really?"
"Of course"
They snuggle down together and fall asleep with big grins on their faces.
*A few days later*
"It's Leah's birthday next week and I have no idea what to get her with what little money I have left"
"Leave it to me"
"I can't, you've already done so much for me and the kids"
"So? I love you and I love the kids you're my family now and it's my duty to take care of you all"
"You're so soppy! I'm sure I can scrimp together enough for that fairy castle she wants"
"You do that and let me take care of the rest from both of us" He says walking out the door. He returns a few hours later with a few presents and a big smile on his face. "Told you I'd sort something!" He say with a happy little whistle.
"What have you got her?"
"I can't tell you, it's a surprise"
"Come on, you gotta tell me"
"Nope, it's for the whole family"
Ste has a puzzled look on his face. Looks like he's just gonna have to wait and see… Or sexually tease and torture Brendan until he gets it out of him.
