"I can't do this anymore Kate." Her heart just shattered. Anything after that she blocked out. Rick had waited four years for her wall to come down, he waited through pointless relationships and heart break, when she could have been safe with him. The man who confessed his love after she got shot, almost when they got frozen. They had been through everything together, the ups and the downs. He was the one who found Dick Coonan, the one who saved her from Hal Lockwood.

"Beckett? Kate? Kate!" She finally looked him in the eye after what felt like five days, which in reality was five minutes.

"So what Castle, I get grazed by a bullet and we're over?" She thought about the days previous events. They were following a lead to the suspects house. They had figured that he skipped town and

"No Kate, I cant deal with the fact that a couple of inches over and you would've been hit."

"But it wasn't, and Ihad a vest on."

"Kate I can't deal with this. Watching you walk out there everyday knowing it could be the last time I see you. I don't want to be constantly worried that the love of my life might be taken from me." The tears that once threatened to spill were falling down his face. While hers was broken, shaking sobs. So he tried to comfort her, only to get himself kicked out.

She didn't know who to call, Lanie hadn't picked up. Ryan and Jenny were 'busy'. So she called Esposito.

"Javi?" She ask holding back another wave of sobs. "Javi I need you. Can you come over now?" He has never heard her like this before.

"Yeah I'll be right over. Give me two minutes." She agreed knowing it would be sooner since they lived so close to each other. So she got out some beer and Extra blankets and pillows, knowing he might crash on the couch. She was about to open the beers when there was a knock on the door.

"Hey Javi thanks for coming over." She tried to hold herself together but she wasn't stronger enough.

He saw that she was about to break down, so he just hugged her. "Its alright Kate, I'm here." He felt the front of his shirt dampening, but he didn't even care. Javi led her over to the couch and had her sit as he grabbed one of the blankets he saw. He wrapped it around her hoping to calm her down, and sat down next to her. He began rubbing soothing circles on her back. She closed her eyes, and the last thing she remembers was Javi comforting her.
