Hello Readers are you as heartbroken over the Mark of Athena as I am? That ending was such a rickhanger, and everything else you want to call it.

So I don't own Percy Jackson if I did The Mark of Athena would have a different ending.

Athena looked up from her weaving, her mind had not been clear the pass, she didn't even remember. Her Roman and Greek sides where tearing her apart. Athena briefly remembered seeing Annabeth at one point, but that didn't make sense, Minerva didn't contact her children. And what had happened to the coin she had earlier. The Mark of Athena was a dangerous thing she hadn't given it to one of her children in years, she was thinking about giving it to Annabeth but her daughter had been though too much to ask that of her.

Suddenly her thoughts became clear, Athena and Minerva combined minds, this wouldn't normally happen her two sides were much to different, but something had fixed that. As her thought became one she realized that she had seen Annabeth after all, she had given her favorite daughter the mark of Athena. Athena realized that Annabeth must have succeeded; of course Athena thought her favorite daughter would do nothing less than succeed. The Athena Parthenos was now in the hands of Annabeth.

Then a cold feeling washed over Athena, like spiders crawling over her skin. Athena tried to find Annabeth, she had to be near the statue, so it wasn't hard. But what she saw almost broke her heart. Annabeth and Percy were hanging over the edge of Tartarus. Athena heard Annabeth telling Percy to "let her go". She knew what would happen next, and she was never so grateful for the son of Poseidon, Percy would fall with Annabeth. Their love was too great, that they wouldn't, no couldn't be without one another again. Athena looked away from the picture, she couldn't take it.

She could only imagine what Poseidon was going through if he managed to pull himself together long enough to see this. She always thought that Percy would end up like his father, selfish, and rude. She was never happier to be wrong because after everything they had been through they deserved each other.

Percy and Annabeth deserve so much. They better be Gods after this series.
