Author's Notes:
This story was inspired by the book Stop Pretending. Stop Pretending is a
series of poems written by a girl whose 19-year-old sister went insane. If
any of you have the time, you should get your hands on that book. It's very
sad, and it's based on a true story. And now, on with the story.
This story is based on a poem I wrote about a friend.(I actually included
some of the actual poem.) No stealing please. (not that I think any of you
would actually do that ^^)
*~*~*
"Seiya, do you want to go to the beach?"
"No."
"The park?"
"No."
"The amusement park?"
"No."
"Where do you want to go?"
"No."
*~*~*
Is it better
Now?
It doesn't seem
That way
I curse
that day

"Wow! What a nice day!" Yaten turned to her friend.
"Don't you think, Seiya?" Seiya nodded.
"Yes."
"You want to get ice cream, Seiya?" Seiya nodded.
"Yes."
"What flavor do you want?" Taiki asked. Seiya nodded.
"Yes."
*~*~*
Something
was wrong
I had
no clue
She left
without saying
a word

"Seiya, you want to see a movie?"
"I don't know."
"Is there a movie you want to see?"
"I don't know."
"Is there something else you want to do?"
"I don't know."
*~*~*
Now
on her face
is a permanent
frown
no longer
as free as a bird
*~*~*
"That movie was disturbing," Yaten shuddered. Taiki shrugged.
"I found it intriguing."
"Ugh." Yaten groaned. Taiki looked around, and stopped walking.
"What? Taiki?"
"Where did Seiya go?" she asked. Yaten smacked her forehead.
"Is she still in the theatre?"
Yaten groaned and stomped back into the theatre.
"Seiya! The movie's over! Let's go!" No answer.
*~*~*
Never
before
Have I hated
a day
Like I hate
the day
she left
*~*~*
"Seiya, let's go!" Yaten repeated. Taiki walked slowly over to her friend.
"Seiya?" Seiya was still sitting in her seat, a glazed look in her eyes.
Taiki put a hand on her shoulder. "Seiya, it's time to go." But Seiya
didn't answer. She kept staring at the floor. Taiki waved a hand in front
of Seiya's face. She sighed, and took the girl by her shoulders and yanked
her out of her seat. She now had an arm around Seiya as she led her to the
door. Yaten followed. Together, the three walked in silence back to their
apartment.
