Wizard's Journey
Chapter 1: The Book
Zhorn looked up suddenly from his book to see a lightning storm start. Thunder and lightning rolled across the sky. He was surprised, Mom didn't say it was going to rain. What's up?
"Mom! You said that I could go out biking today!"
"Sorry, honey, the news didn't say anything about rain!"
Sigh."Fine!" I may as well look around the house. Dad said there was an attic. So Zhorn put down his book, making sure to dog-ear his page, and looked around the house. While walking through a walkway he hit his head on something.
"OW!"
"What is it, honey?" said his mom from a nearby room.
"Nothing, Mom." replied Zhorn for fear of his 'expedition' to come to an end.
"Ok, then." answered his Mom. She was busy working on some new software that could revolutionize the world. If there was something major that was needed, Bill Gates would have already told the press and money before it came out. thought Zhorn. He looked up to see what had happened. He had hit his head on a ladder. Huh? Well, this is interesting enough for investigation. So without hesitation, he climbed up the to the attic of his house. Once up there, he looked around. There wasn't much light, so he looked for a light switch. Instead, a candle lit all on it's own. Bewildered, Zhorn saw a box full of books. Each one was very short, and had an unusual title. 'So You Want to Be a Wizard?' What kind of book is that. It seems like some big prank, but why would Mom & Dad keep this stuff up here? So, he picked one up and brought it down too his room. He skimmed through it until he got the general idea. This can't be a joke, this has too many details and stuff. Man. this is confusing. So, he turned to a page that listed, in plain ink, the entire Wizard's Oath. As he began to read the Oath out loud with his right hand in the air, Advisory Wizard, Carl Romero woke up knowing one thing was certain. A really powerful wizard had just been born.
