Bill was nervous. What if he made a mistake? He could hurt her! Fleur was right next to him and watched him closely. It was fun to watch him struggling like this.
"What if the water is too hot? Or too cold? What if she – "
"Bill, you won't do anything wrong. You're a wonderful father and if you really need 'elp...your mother is 'ere. She could 'elp us. But I know that you will do just perfectly fine."
His wife tried to encourage him but he was still not sure. Vicky was squealing and giggling like any other baby her age.
"A-alright. But stay here...in case something happens.."
He began to lower her into the small tub, holding her like she was fragile. She punched the surface and laughed, making his shirt wet. Bill took a wash cloth and put some shampoo on it before he began to wash her back. She seemed to like it and grabbed his arm. She was not that old but she was already as beautiful as her mother. A true Delacour. Bill continued to wash her until Fleur took a fluffy towel and wrapped her into it.
"See? It was not that 'ard, right?"
Fleur began to dress her, proud at her husband.
"It was..okay. It will get better after every time, I guess..."
Victoire giggled and looked at her father before she slowly fell asleep.
