Palace:
Early morning rays of sunshine gleamed down on a large complex in the center of Domino as bells rang to announce the time. As the last peals rang out through the city, a large number of youths rushed from one end of the complex to the other. That was, with the exception of four young men. The four of them exited with all the others but turned and headed in a different direction. Towards a large building isolated from the rest of the complex by what appeared to be a small forest encircling it.
"Yami." One member of the group, a tall brunette with dazzling blue eyes, finally spoke catting the attention of the rest.
"Yes cousin?" Inquired the shortest member; turning his gaze curiously as the group continued on their way.
"Why, pray tell, are we being so secretive about this venture of ours." He honestly had no earthly notion as to why they had to be so secretive. This simply wasn't an uncommon thing for individuals in their position to do. While it was technically done after their training was done he saw no harm in it. Besides it had the added benefit of bringing more students into the fold.
The young man sighed, gathered himself visibly and finally answered his cousin. "Because Ishizu said no." After hearing this, the other two members of their group, two young blonds, froze causing the others to pass them and stare back with confused looks.
"Are you telling me that the Regent doesn't approve of what we're doing?" The question was asked by the shorter of the two, whose skin and hair were darker. He shot an incredulous look towards the first two and spoke to the taller, "Did you know about this as well Kaiba?"
The shorter gazed at his cousin, hoping that the response would at least be congenial. The boy snorted at the question. "Since when do I care about what Ishizu thinks? Nothing she ever says or does deters me from my goals and I, for one, am impatient and intend to get what I want. With that he turned and stalked down the path, his cloak billowing out behind him. The last member of the group, the second blond, began to chuckle.
"You know, he's in a whole other league. Even I'm not crazy enough to mess with Ishizu when it concerns you, Yami." The boy continued to laugh, crouching to brace himself, while the other two stared on with disbelief. Yami sighed. He was right; no one ever told his cousin what to do and that trait had begun to rub off on his friends; especially Bakura, who had always been the more rebellious of the two.
"Bakura, if our spirits agree to it and choose to help us there will be nothing Ishizu can say about it anyway. She'll just have to accept what we've done; besides, if they agree it will only bring more students to the Collegium and she can't honestly complain about that." Bakura rolled his eyes while the other blond, Marik, looked at Yami with an exasperated gaze. Not everything was as simple as the royal cousins like to make it seem. What they were asking their spirits to do was not simple; they could be gone a long time. After all, it wasn't every day you just ran into your soulmate.
"Yami….." Yami cut Marik off with a glare before he could say more than his name.
"Marik, while I do not enjoy pulling rank on my friends I feel I must ask you, am I your prince or not?" Marik only nodded. Yami was indeed the prince and he had sworn fealty to him. That, however, was not the reason for his loyalty to the young man. While normally the Prince was level headed and calm, always taking time to make decisions. Not only that he was a good leader and if there wasn't a question about the completion of his training, he would already be the enthroned ruler of their kingdom. But aside from those reasons, he was his friend, and that was the true reason behind his loyalty.
Marik looked to Bakura who only shrugged and headed towards the building where Kaiba had disappeared. Yami remained, standing still as a statue, gazing at Marik. The blond sighed. "Fine! But if, and when, Ishizu catches us we're blaming Kaiba!" Yami snickered at the idea; his cousin would be more than happy to take the fall. It seemed his favorite pastime was openly defying the woman who stood as regent for the Kingdom. Besides, it had been Seto's idea to being with.
In Domino:
In the middle district of the city away from the palace a young blond let his head fall against a wooden desk out of frustration. He just didn't understand how anyone could thing that being educated was necessary much less make a law out of it. Neither of his parents had been educated and they both did just fine for themselves. Individually that is. Their marriage had been rushed and perhaps if they had been able to understand something outside of the lives they were shown they would have been able to make it work. He groaned in frustration. Every time he started to complain about the education laws he would start to find ways to defend them.
"Hey Jou!" The young man's head jerked around, searching for the person calling his name. He grinned in an enthusiastic manner when he saw his small friend Yugi, being trailed by two to others, Ryo and Malik.
"Hey guys! What took you so long?" The two on either side of Yugi threw bewildered looks at each other. The question, they thought, should surely be why was Jounouchi here so early? Not that he was late, often; it was just that he had never beaten any of them to their lessons before.
Yugi giggled, the sound making him appear much younger than he was. "I think the question is why are you here so early Jou?" Cocking his head to the side Jou thought about it. He couldn't exactly think of a reason. He didn't enjoy the lessons he was forced to receive but he didn't exactly hate them either; for some reason he had awoken early with a feeling of excitement in his stomach.
"You know, I really don't know. I just had this feeling that something was going to happen today and I didn't want to miss out. Plus, we're starting lessons on the spirits that guide the guardians and that seems kind of cool." The blond shrugged it off nonchalantly and didn't notice his friends smirk among themselves. It was common knowledge to almost anyone who met the boy that Jounouchi practically obsessed over the guardian corps. Before any of them could tease him, however, the priestess that was giving their lesson today walked in, her very presence gaining the attention of the room.
"Good morning, my young ones." The priestess, dressed in the robes of her order, smiled as she surveyed the room full of young men and women. Just as she thought, everyone was here today. Since the Prince had placed laws on education this was the one time a year that she could be assured of having a full class.
For the past two centuries, at the very least, every child growing up in this country dreamed of joining the guardian corps and everyone relished the tales that featured the pride of their country. She cleared her throat and, with a smile, began her lesson.
"We'll be starting with a review today. I would like for all of you to think back to the founding of our country. When our first King and noble overlord prayed for guidance and our protection. He invoked the name of every god, goddess, and spirit he knew; praying that they would grant him a way to protect his people, few as they may be, from their pursuers, and to provide a guide so that the people would always be led by fair and just leaders. It was then, on the very grounds where the palace and collegium stand today; out of the spirit forest came the first three spirits to ever bond with humans. Who can tell me about these spirits?" Her gaze fell on the room, searching her students for someone to answer her question. To her surprise Jounouchi, one of her favorites, rose his hand; he wasn't known for his participation. She couldn't help but smile at his shy hand; perhaps she had finally found the very subject to convince him to take his lessons seriously.
"Yes, Jounouchi?" The young blond rose as was the habit of all the students when answering a question. "I think…. wasn't one a beast type and the other two…weren't they humanoid types?" He looked at the priestess nervously. Not all of their teachers were as patient as this one and he feared being wrong and disappointing her.
"Yes Jounouchi. You are quite right; do you happen to remember which spirits they were?" Jounouchi gazed down at his hands; he knew two but could never remember the third. The first was easy. It was a dragon and he loved the very thought of dragons. In fact, it was his deepest desire to be selected for the guardian corps by a dragon, as unlikely as that was to ever happen. The second was almost as easy. There was always a pair of them, to guard the King and his royal consort.
"W. …I do know that one was the very first Blue Eyes and another is the Dark Magician. But….I don't really remember the third. I'm sorry." The last part was mumbled as Jou hid behind the fringe his hair offered and not many heard but the priestess did. She smiled at her student, motioning for him to be seated; she was just pleased that he had participated.
"That more than alright, Jounouchi. Yes, the beast type was in fact a Blue Eyes White Dragon. The first dragon to ever befriend mankind; he in fact chose to bond to King Valor's chief advisor and in fact only one or two of these spirits is bonded at a time and only to the current and future advisor to the throne. The second was one of the humanoid spirits known as the Dark Magician. There is always at least one pair of them bonded to the royal couples. The inevitably choose the royal consort and the royal heir. The last spirit is very rare and most forget that he even had a part to play in our history. Since that day, no one has ever even seen one of these spirits and he was the only spirit aside from a Dark Magician to become partner to a King. Well, can any of you curious about which spirit this could be?"
The priestess smile and restrained a laugh at her students at their annoyance of her question. None of them knew and they all wished for her to continue on with her story. She met each individual's eyes before revealing that the spirit was in fact a cousin of sorts to the Dark Magician; bearing the name Dark Magician of Chaos. The spirit was infinitely more dangerous and volatile than his cousin and had in truth only been appropriate for that one generation. The priestess continued her lecture about the guardians and their spirits until a small bell rang, announcing the end of lessons for the day.
Just as she was dismissing a loud crash resounded from the main sanctuary. The priestess moved to the front of her charges and walked towards the door. Just in case there was a disturbance of any kind. As she opened the door, she smiled at the sight confronting her and dropped to the floor allowing the cause or rather causes of the disturbance to enter the room.
Palace:
"It's about time the three of you got here!" Kaiba snarled at his cohorts and shot them a glare. "Kisara says that the new one is getting restless. She says that he told her he needs to go get his partner but that he hasn't even learned to communicate telepathically yet." Seto continued to glare at his cousin and two 'friends'. He put that word loosely. There were very few people Seto Kaiba was interested in socializing with. His brother and cousin were obvious, they were family after all. He adored his brother, even going so far as to make it evident to the world, and he was absolutely loyal to his cousin and future King. Kisara was his bound spirit and much more than mere friend to him. The only other one that he would ever be interested in was someone he would have to wait to meet and the very reason he was pitching such a fit now.
"Calm down Seto. It will be alright. Have you seen Mags? Surely he can help with this." Yami looked around for his spirit counterpart; the only bonded Dark Magician currently residing within the palace walls. As if he had heard his name being discussed the spirit simply appeared, looking to his master with inquisitive eyes. "There you are Mags." Yami sighed with relief; his spirit always seemed to calm him. "Can you explain a little more of what is going on?"
The spirit nodded and began his explanation to his master. 'There is a new resident with us; the first black dragon to choose to bond. He arrived only a week past and has yet learned how to communicate with words. He told Kisara that his human is ready to be chosen and he must retrieve him. He projected images of your cousin overlaid with worry, so I believe that he worried that he will harm his partner.
Yami couldn't help but chuckle. His cousin would have had a royal fit had he known that the little spirit was worried about him harming the new guardian. Kisara had relayed the information that this spirit would chose Seto's love almost the moment the dragon had arrived.
'Mags, you remember what we spoke of last night, correct?' The spirit's eyes crinkled with a smile. 'Yes. I do.' Yami sighed in relief. 'Did you speak to the other spirits about it? Have they agreed?'
While Yami was conversing with his spirit Bakura leaned to Marik, "I know we look the same when we talk to our spirits but does it ever creep you out seeing it actually happen?" Marik chuckled at his friend's question.
"No, what creeps me out is how Kaiba can handle Kisara in his head and still manage to see and hear everything that goes on. Even when he's the one asking her questions." Bakura shuddered and shot a glare at the brunette's back. He absolutely hated with he did that. You just weren't supposed to be able to do that. At least not until years and years spent with your spirit.
Seto began tapping his foot. He was growing impatient. He already knew what his cousin was asking the spirit and he already knew the answers. If the little dragon spirit had been old enough to go and get his partner then that would have solved Seto's entire problem and he would gladly have let the dragon go, but he wasn't and that was that. He couldn't do that; however, until these three spoke to their spirits. They had made a deal to do this ritual together and he always kept his word.
"Yami!" Seto snapped, interrupting Yami's line of questioning with his spirit. Yami jumped and started laughing the second he saw his cousin's rapid foot tapping. "Enough. So now you understand my impatience. My problem is solved, and I am only waiting on the three of you."
"Wait one second! How is his problem solved and not ours? I thought the only difference between the two of you and us was your impatience." Bakura question, they had been left out on some critical piece of information and he was not happy about it.
Yami sighed, pushing his hand through his hair. "I'm sorry Bakura. I didn't mean to leave you out. Kisara has confirmed that the new black dragon spirit is going to partner with Seto's soulmate. The little dragon wants to go and get his partner but he's too young. Kisara has volunteered to go in his place." Marik suddenly yelled throwing his fist into the air. He knew he'd been right. Kaiba was as gay as the rest of them.
"That's right idiot. Don't act so surprised. I made it quite clear, a long time ago, what my preferences were."
"The hell you did! You just never spent any time with anyone! We were in shock that this was all your idea."
Yami rolled his eyes. This could turn into a fight very quickly. "Alright, that's enough. Bakura, Marik summon your spirits and ask them if they'd mind helping us with the ceremony." Yami was once again interrupted by Bakura's Hyozanryu spirit charging through the second story window projecting into everyone's mind.
'We're here! We're here! And of course we'll help! Why wouldn't we? Anything to make our masters happy!"
Seto winced at the volume of the diamond dragon spirit's telepathy. He looked back at Kisara and saw that she looked peeved as well. Shortly after announcing her presence a large masked beast spirit came loping in, and crouched down to nuzzle his head under Marik's chin.
Yami laughed at his friends very excitable spirits. "Well, I guess everyone's here. We have to hurry with the ritual or we'll miss breakfast all together. The boys settled down with their spirits by their sides and began the ritual. All in all it didn't take very long and soon their spirits raced off to accomplish their task with Kisara in lead. Their masters watched after them for a short while and broke away to hurry to their almost forgotten meal.
In Domino:
The trek of the spirits was not a new sight for the townspeople. It was actually more of a common occurrence that the spirits would travel through the town either looking for or on their way to their new partners. What was uncommon, was that this was a fairly large group of spirits all headed in the same direction.
'Kisara, do you think they will all be together? Tell me where your master's love is. We've been traveling gin the same direction for too long now.' The small white dragon huffed. I wasn't that she didn't trust the humanoid spirit, she actually did but her master was sensitive and might not want his cousin to know anything about his future love yet.
'I promise you I won't speak of it to Master if you do not wish.' Kisara looked back at her fellow spirit and sighed. She wanted to tell him. She had a sneaking suspicion that all of their master's interests were in the same area. Especially since, the prince's education laws put most people of an appropriate age for their masters at some sort of school or church receiving lessons at this time.
'I'm headed for the Priory of Ra in the middle districts. Ask Dia and Sol if that's where their headed as well.' She never did enjoy conversing with Dia, the little diamond dragon, it was if she didn't understand what volume was, and it was simply too difficult to follow the masked beasts thoughts. They were just too jumbled for her to separate them. As she waited, she couldn't help but wonder what here master's soul mate would be like. She knew it was a male. Those were his preferences and the little black dragon had given her the image of a male to search for. But the black dragon was so impatient and angry. Surely his master would be like that; she couldn't imagine that kind of person mixing well with her master.
'Kisara'
'Yes Mags?'
'We're all headed to the same place; do you have a clue why? Aren't the humans normally spread out a bit more?' Kisara sighed. She was older than the magician spirit, so it really did make sense that she paid more attention to what was happening in the world. Besides she had spent time observing the world to prepare for her chose in a master.
'Yes normally, but since your master passed his education laws the children of this land are generally together in several locations at this time of day.'
'He passed laws? About education? But he isn't even the King yet. How did he do that?' Kisara almost laughed. It wasn't the spirits fault and she wasn't going to rub it in that he was clueless. Let him remain naïve for a little while longer, she could take care of that side of things for now.
'Yes he passed it but it was in…hmmm, what is that human's name? You know the one that's helping your master rule until you two are done training?'
'The Regent…I do believe it is I…Is…Ishizu perhaps?'
'Well either way it was passed in her name with his signature, that way everyone knows it was his idea.'
The dark magician pondered this for a while with a look of pride on his face. It made him happy that Kisara approved of what his master did. Not that she would say so; it was in the tone of her voice and the inflection of her thoughts.
'Kisara how far? You know this part of town better than the rest of us.'
"We're almost there only a few more minutes; tell the others that we'll be making a sharp left soon. And tell Sol not to mark his territory. We are going inside after all.' She heard the magician chuckle and saw the air glow around him. They might think it was funny but since the education lessons were going on inside the scent of a higher level spirit would scare the lesser ones away.
'Here!' Kisara spoke to the group and banked as she made a hard and almost unexpected left into the building. This was where she was unsure. She had never been in the building; she didn't like them very much and had no idea how to navigate in one. That was until a clear thought rang out from Sol's mind.
'I smell him!' Well, she thought, we might as well trust that they'll be in the same room. And she let the masked beast spirit take the lead. Wincing as the diamond dragon didn't make the turn as gracefully as the rest, running into a pillar. Dia knocked the ceremonial candles and ornaments to the floor making quite a ruckus in the progress. The priests looked p and smiled, willing to allow spirits on a mission to disturb them.
A door opened after the noise, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise, and a priestess stood in the doorway. As soon as she saw the spirits' headlong charge in her direction she ducked, allowing the four to fly and leap over her. Chuckling as two of the spirits skidded, attempting to stop she turned to address her class.
"Well, my young ones it seems we are to have a special privilege. We are going to see how one is chosen to be a guardian first hand." She turned to the group of spirits and gazed at them. A small frown formed, marring her brow. All of the spirits had already clearly chosen a partner. She looked at the two more composed spirits, silently questioning them as to who was in charge. Mags bowed to Kisara, giving his dragon friend the lead.
'I understand your concern, Priestess.' Kisara spoke into the mind of the woman. 'We are indeed all claimed spirits, but we were sent here by the Saiai ritual. All of the youth we will choose have partners waiting for them, they are simply too young to search for them themselves as of yet.'
The priestess smiled and decided to leave out the information of the Saiai ritual. There was no need to get a group of teenagers riled up with thoughts of soulmates. "Students, in this case these are not the spirits who will claim you today. These spirits are here on behalf of younger spirits who are not able to travel quite yet." The woman smiled and sincerely hoped that at least Jounouchi would be chosen. He would make an excellent guardian and it was the boy deepest wish.
Sol was the first to find his master's love. He had received the scent of the boy during the ritual. He walked straight to a boy who resembled his master greatly. It seemed to the spirit that the only differences were in height and smell, but to a human eye the boys frame was smaller, his skin paler, his eyes wider, and his hair a lighter color.
"M..m..me?" Malik looked to the priestess for confirmation and looked even more bewildered at her encouraging smile and nod.
"Go on Malik. The spirit will take you to the collegium." Malik nodded still speechless, and rose to follow Sol.
Mags smiled and thought to Kisara that they should make a game out of this. Their masters were surly the most impatient about this, why not make them wait. Kisara mentally laughed and agreed. They signaled for Dia to find her master's future love as well. Dia hovered and circled the classroom unsure of what to do. She was the youngest of them and had received nothing concrete from the ritual to help her identify the boy. Suddenly, she knew.
She zeroed in on a boy who looked like a frail and gentler version of her own master. His hair tamer, his skin paler and he had the large brown eyes that reminded her of a deer. She thought it strange, her master's eyes had always reminded her of a hunter's, but she was sure this was the one. She launched herself and screeched joyously as she latched onto his shoulder, shocking the poor boy. Ryo glanced at Yugi and Jou. He was overjoyed that he would be chosen but they had always longed for this chance more than he. He felt almost guilty and he prayed to every god he had ever known that they would be chosen as well.
'Well Kisara, who next? You or me?' Kisara hummed as she thought. She knew which one was for her master but she had no idea upon actually seeing him whether her master would be pleased or not.
'You go first, but wait. You see the tall bond one over there? You are the closest to a hum, will my master like him?' Mags looked at the boy Kisara had indicated. He really had no clue; as far as humans went the boy was what would be considered attractive. But Kisara's master was odd. He had never given anyone attention and never mentioned any of the qualities he cared about. He had no way of knowing if Kisara's master would be pleased or not.
'I don't know. As far as the humans go, he is what they consider attractive but I do not know what your master searches for.'
Kisara hummed in thought. 'You go ahead. So long as he is pretty and has some wits about him I am sure master will like him. He'll have to; the boy is his soulmate after all.' She chuckled at that and let Mags go to find the future king's consort.
Mags lowered himself to the ground. His friends had made enough of a spectacle of themselves for the day and he had no intention of drawing more attention to himself than needed. He calmly walked over to someone whom he considered to be a minute version of his own masters. He paused briefly to wonder if he should worry about what fate was telling them if all of the boys chosen looked so similar to their soulmates. But perhaps it was just long lost blood lines rejoining. It was very rare to see Amethyst eyes outside of the royal family.
Mags lowered himself to one knee in front of the future consort, growing as he did from his resting size to that of a full sized man, holding his hand out for the young man to take. Yugi gasped and placed a shaking hand inside the magician's. His head shot over to look at Jou, tears in his eyes. This was always what he wanted but he didn't want to do this without Jou.
Jou saw the look in Yugi's eyes and knew what was going through his best friend's head. Yes, he was upset that all of his friends had been chosen and that he wasn't going to be. He knew that. But he wasn't about to let that ruin Yugi's future. So he smiled and waved Yugi on; giving him a thumbs up. Yugi deserved this, he was a great guy. Plus, now Yugi's grandpa wouldn't be able to throw ladies at him to start a family. Poor Yug, Jou chuckled. Gay as could be and didn't have the heart to tell his grandpa.
Everyone turned to look at the little dragon hovering in the front of the room. Who was she going to choose? She was so torn. She felt guilty for making her master's future mate wait. She saw now that he wanted desperately to be chosen and had given up hope. But her master did need to learn the virtue of patience.
Jou looked down, not wanting to see who would be chosen. Hiding his grief behind the fringe of his hair, when he heard an odd crooning noise. He looked up, and as he did, he eyes grew wider and wider until eventually he met the gaze of a small Blue Eyes White Dragon. He could pinch himself; he did pinch himself. A manic grin grew across his face. He started to sweep the dragon into his arms but remembered enough about his particular spirit to know that they didn't like to be touched by many. And after all, she was only bringing him to his, she wasn't his. That would be ridiculous. A dragon as rare as her choosing someone like him; the idea made him laugh, but he was still overjoyed. He looked towards the priestess, his favorite teacher, and saw her beaming with a tear in her eye. For the first time he asked to be excused.
"M..m..may I be excused…please?"
The priestess laughed before responding. "Please do. Go and find your spirit partner."
And so all four spirits began their trek back to the collegium and their masters; it would take longer to get back than it had to get there, limited as they were by human speeds, but they were overjoyed. Their masters didn't have nearly as long to wait as they had though.
Palace:
The news that their spirits had returned with new students reached Seto and Yami first; as soon as their class was done they rushed to an old hiding spot that they often used to watch matters of the court. Shortly after a panting Bakura came running in dragging a half dressed Marik with him; Yami shot the two an incredulous look that demanded an explanation.
"Sorry guys, we were at weapons practice and Bakura just couldn't wait for me to put a shirt on!" Marik explained glaring at Bakura whose only response was rude. They were quiet for a moment when Marik spoke up again. "Isn't it a little soon for them to be back? I mean they weren't even gone for a day. That means they were all in the city doesn't it?"
Seto and Yami looked at each other in frustration that he bond seemed to care about that face. They thought it was all for the better. Then Bakura decided to chime in.
"Why are there only two of them down there? Where are the other two and whose spirits brought them in." Seto sighed. These idiots were clearly astounding; could they really think that Yami and he would be up here if their soulmates were down there?
"Do you really think we'd be up here if those two had been brought in by Mags and Kisara?" Yami asked echoing Seto's thoughts. Seto began to sneer at the look on Bakura's face but was interrupted by Marik yet again.
"They are supposed to be chosen by spirits right? We didn't waste our spirts time by sending them, did we?" Yami sighed and Seto rolled his eyes. Didn't the two read anything he told them to?!
"If you had read the book I told you to, then you would know that spirits wouldn't have agreed to go search for them. They only assist if the soulmate is one going to be chosen by the spirits."
Marik's moth resembled an O and Bakura started to move towards Seto, with every intention of starting a fight. It was then that Yami decided to intervene. "Well you two, what do you think? Come get a good look at them."
Bakura and Marik leaned over the bannister of their hiding spot to get a good look at their future loves, Yami showing them whose spirit had brought in whom. Bakura just grinned and looked very satisfied. Marik on the other hand had something to say.
"So don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy but….Kami, what is fate trying to tell us about ourselves that they look almost exactly like us?!"
Bakura frowned and looked again. He didn't think that his future mate looked like him. Sure they were similar but the guy was way more innocent than him. A lot thinner and smaller. He looked completely different. "I think mine's different."
Seto snorted and laughed at Bakura. "You do know the one with the long white hair is yours right?"
Bakura rolled his eyes at Seto. Yes he knew that. They had already shown them who Dia had brought. "Yes, you pompous windbag, I'm not stupid. You already told me which one Dia brought in."
Seto frowned at the insult but was distracted when another boy joined the group and it was recorded that Yami's dark magician had brought him in. He started to snicker, what did it say that all three of the boys looked like the men they were destined for. He paused I his merriment for a moment to send a threat to heaven. His future husband better not look like him; he did not fancy living the rest of his life feeling like he was looking in a mirror.
Yami looked down and was immediately enchanted. The boy may have looked similar to him but he saw several differences between themselves. The boy's eyes were wider, more innocent and possibly, it was hard to tell from so high, a shade or two lighter. The poor boy looked a little unsure of himself and it awoke every protective instinct in him.
"Well cousin, I'm going to go head this off at the pass. I'll tell Pegasus that Mags told me Kisara was bringing someone in as well and get everything set up for you as well." Seto almost smiled at his cousin's consideration. He could at least thank him for his trouble.
"Thank you, cousin."
"Wait. Hold up Yami. Someone else is coming in." Marik interrupted, while Bakura stared at Seto as if he had grown another head. Yami returned and waited to see if it was the final boy arriving. It was and Seto was not disappointed. He smirked as if he had won some bet that none of them remembered making.
"Oh yes." He chuckled. "That one is most definitely mine."
He turned and began to leave. He would make sure his future husband knew who he was. "Are you coming Yami." A last minute consideration for his cousin who was still shocked by Seto's instant approval of the boy. "Aaah yes." The prince managed to stutter out as he trailed behind his cousin towards the Dean of the Collegium's office, Pegasus.
