There's a careful veneer covering the face of the world and people believed whatever was convenient for them to believe. they didn't want the truth only a pretty lie. The Bicentennial Grande Festival had come at last and things that were better hidden were coming to the surface, his eyes moved to Cynthia and he laughed to keep from screaming, "Now I kind of wished we both drowned."

A/N: I'm sorry to the five people who are following this story about the three year hiatus this story was on. I started writing this story in 2012 as a senior in high school and then life kind of just happened, next semester I graduate from college…. So yeah life has happened.

At some point in the last three years I realize that I was way over reaching so I started rewriting it and just didn't come back to it. A lot of the early plot threads have been changed or taken out entirely. Most of the story I had to throw out and rewrite, please take into account that I am still in the process of polishing up the first few chapters and seeing what is salvageable and what isn't.
