Insane House Challenge: Dialogue - "You know what, don't. Just don't explain any of this. I'd rather not know."
365 Prompts Challenge: Plot Point - A character runs away
Word count: 379
He did not know how he ended up here. He was running away from his fate. Draco did not want to take the dark mark so maybe for the first time he did the right thing. He ran. Malfoy had no real destination, he just wanted to get away from England. To start a new life. Somewhere, anywhere. He did not care. He had done some research and found out that there was a dragon reserve in Romania. It was far away, it would be enough for at least a few months. And he wanted to work with dragons since he was a child. It would be the best opportunity.
"Well hello there, stranger. Who are you and why are you here?"
Draco turned around and was surprised to see a Weasley there. At least he thought that this man in front of him was a Weasley. Red hair, freckles, bright blue eyes. But he was...different. His clothes were torn but this was because he worked with dragons. And he was beautiful!
"You're a Weasley."
He did not answer. Instead, he pointed out the fact that he knew who he was. The Weasley arched his eyebrows and crossed his arms.
" You know what, don't. Just don't explain any of this. I'd rather not know. But I do want to know who you are at least and why you know me but I don't know you."
Normally he would have told him to sod off and leave him alone but look where it got him. In another country.
"I'm disappointed that your brother never mentioned me. Well, I'm Draco Malfoy. But I am not here to cause trouble, I...I ran away. And I want to work here."
Charlie watched him and he knew that Draco was serious. He began to laugh and ruffled through the blond hair. It was hilarious that Rons enemy was here and wanted to work here. A Malfoy and work in one sentence.
"Well, first of all, you should tell me everything. Then, we'll see. Alright?"
The Slytherin did not know if he should trust him or not but he needed help so he followed him inside the house. He was still unsure about everything but it was the first step in the right direction...
