Remus
1. Whenever Molly accused Sirius of thinking Harry was James, Remus always felt guilty because sometimes he pretended Harry was James.
2. As much as he liked Sirius, he had always admired James. Even more after he married Lily and had Harry, this was because he knew it could never be him.
3. In third year he had a crush on a girl named Sarah, even when she asked him out, he said no, he didn't want to hurt her with his condition.
4. He had always loved his mother more than his father, the reason being was that his mother had believed in him even after he had been bitten, his father had just turned away in disgust.
5. Even when Dumbledore told him he would be able to go to Hogwarts, he didn't want to go. He had never had friends, who would make friends with him after being bitten? He respected Dumbledore to his dying day. He had been overlooked all of his life, he admired Dumbledore for treating him like every human being.
6. When Sirius was chosen to be Godfather to Harry, Remus pretended to be happy. He was upset that they had chosen someone so reckless. He still felt it was due to his condition even after Lily had told him it was nothing of the sort and James loved Remus just as much as Sirius. This made Remus happier than he had ever been.
7. He was glad that Harry had argued with him at Grimmauld Place, he wouldn't have gone back to Tonks otherwise.
8. Although he didn't always show it he loved Tonks, she made him happy. He was delighted when she had become pregnant, but suddenly dread filled up inside him, his child could have been a werewolf.
9. As soon as Tonks had said the word Godfather, he would have said James, then he thought of the next best thing – Harry.
10. He walked out on Tonks because he was scared. He didn't want his child to go through with what he did.
