His Flying Angel

He would watch her

As she soared, as light as a feather

Lighter even than air itself

A beautiful, twirling apparition

He would watch her

As she flew, dancing with deadly

Steps. So much as a finger landed

In the wrong place, she would be dead

He would watch her

As she floated, slowing in the

Dance as her victim would

Be too. Blood splattering

He watched her

As she fell, a step gone wrong

Deadly wrong. He had run to

Catch her, to try to save her

He watched her

As she couldn't fly, wrapped in white sheets

He held her hand, called her name and cried

Sad tears for the angel who had lost its wings

He watched her

As one eyes opened, as he was the one

Who has flying beyond the point of return

She had come back to him

He watches her

As she soars, flies and floats, just like

Her mother, his wife, still does

His two beautiful angels with wings unfurled

A/N: I've wanted to do a NejixTenten one for ages - but I never thought it would be a poem !!
