We were waiting in line at Starbucks to order coffee, when I noticed Matt was moving around a lot, mostly from side to side.

"Matt, what the hell are you doing?" I asked, looking down at him.

He stood on his tip-toes to whisper in my ear. "I have to go to the bathroom."

Jayden overheard him, and said, "You don't look like you need to go to the bathroom. You look like you're doing a little dance from side to side."

"I'M NOT DANCING, I HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM" shouted Matt, oblivious to the people who were beginning to stare at us.

"I'm not hearing that, I'm hearing dance" said Jayden, who started leaping from side to side in an imitation of Matt, almost crashing into several people.

I looked at Damon for support. He wasn't watching, so I elbowed him in the ribs. "Dude, do something." He leaned over and punched both Jayden and Matt on the arm. "People are staring at us. If you don't stop it right now, you can expect more than just a punch on the arm."

Matt, holding his arm, stepped forward to order his drink. Meanwhile, Jayden had started up a one-sided conversation with a woman who was behind us in the line, who was doing her best to ignore him. "What's your favourite verb?" He asked her. When she didn't reply, he went on. "I think 'eat' and 'order dessert' are pretty good, but my favourite is 'slurp milkshake'. I turned to him. "Jayden, shut up."

He stopped terrorizing the woman and looked at me. "No, you shut up."

I began to get angry. "I'm serious man, shut up. You're embarrassing."

I turned around to come face to face with the bored cashier. "Dude, order your drinks, I'll make them, and then you can leave. You're disturbing the atmosphere in here."

Matt looked up at him. "Coffee stores don't have an atmosphere, you idiot" he said.

I grabbed him and Jayden by the arms and dragged them out of the shop before things got ugly.

"Why can't they behave themselves?" I asked Damon as we walked along the boardwalk.

"They've been able to do whatever they want all their lives, I guess" he said with a shrug.

I stopped to lean against a pole and watched Jayden and Matt running along the boardwalk.

"They're just so loud" I said, as Jayden yelled "Whoa check out that girls tits!" Not exactly unproving my point.
