Okay. So Friday in English I asked my friend Jen if she had any ideas for an Addek one-shot Fanfic. She wrote me back a note saying 'hmm, one of them could get a fortune cookie saying something?" and I told her she was absolutely crazy, but then I thought about it for a second and was like hey… that could work! So here it is. Reviews make me very happy; seriously it takes like 10 seconds. Pleaseeeeee.
This takes place about 10 years post season 5.

ten years later.
He sat down at the table and admired the woman at the other side of the kitchen. He noticed they were having Chinese tonight and slightly frowned, Chinese was always Addison's favorite.
He asked Meredith to hand him a fortune cookie and then opened it. Addison had always loved reading the fortunes, and if it took Derek too long to hand her a cookie, he had hell to pay.
He cracked open the cookie,
Your first love should be your last.
He sighed.
Of course, he loved Meredith. He really, really loved Meredith, but Addison was still his first love. Shell always be his first love. It kills him how everything happened that way. What kills him even more, though... is knowing that it was all his fault.
He should've been around. He shouldn't have ignored her. He should've been a better husband. He can't believe how shitty he treated her. He can't believe he was so brainless. He can't believe how the hell he went without treating her like exactly what she is, the most beautiful woman in the world.
He wishes he would've been there. He wishes he would've talked to her. He wishes he would've listened when she wanted to have a talk about considering having kids.
Lately that's all he could think about, what their kid would've looked like. It breaks his heart knowing he'll never see if the image he had in his head would be accurate or not.
He wonders how she's doing in LA. He wonders if she's seeing anyone. He wonders if she's happy…
So tonight before he goes to bed hell call her. He'll tell her he's sorry and that he wishes her well.
But he won't tell her he still loves her,
It's too late for that.
