I will let the poem speak for itself and not write a long description.
I wish it wasn't so hard to keep the format of poems.
Hotohori
I heard of her when I was a child,
_ a bird in a cage and alone.
I believed she could see past the riches,
and perhaps, past my beauty, surely,
to the ordinary man behind the crown,
Hoping to be understood by someone at all.
-
The troubled times loomed ahead
for the country I had vowed to defend.
As soon as I met her, she had my trust.
One night, she told me, the emperor,
"You can't force someone to feel a certain way".
That night, too, I confessed my heart.
-
Although she had fallen for another man,
I could not easily let her go.
She gave me kindness and friendship.
I looked in her heart and saw a smile..
I still loved her and wanted her love,
but even so, a peace came to me.
-
I am the Emperor of Konan,
the sea serpent, one of the Suzaku Seven.
With my power, I can command
_ all except she whom I loved.
As long as possible, I will protect her,
guarding her smile, courage, and heart.
-
I will stand by her side,
and for her happiness,
from heaven or earth,
I swing my sword.
I am not sure when I will be writing more, but I will definitely do a tribute to Nuriko and Tatsuki. At first, I will focus on the Suzaku group, but I will move on to the Seiryu group, too. Most likely, I will do Amaboshi, Soi, and Nakago.
