Point of View
The first time, Michelle chose Josh because she thought that he was safe. That he was the anti-Tony and he would never hurt her like Tony did. Obviously, she was wrong.
The next time, Michelle chose Josh because she needed someone who would only want her and no one else. She would block out the memories of what he had done to Tony and Effy in a psychotic rage, and make sure Tony was watching when she kissed him.
Although, despite knowing it was ridiculous, she couldn't help but wonder if that bitter taste in his mouth was the medication.
