Disclaimer: Not mine. I do not own Glee at all. Damn.
Notes: Another drabble-ficlet from Kurt's POV. I know Puck was one of the dumpster tossers (lets just pretend that he wasn't for this drabbles sake) and it may be a little OOC (only a little), but please forgive me. Creative License right? I also apologize for the song title I slipped in there, can you find it? Anyways, I hope you enjoy and don't hesitate with feedback always love to hear what you think!

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. There is the man in tights and a cape, who swoops down from the heavens saving a beautiful young woman from certain doom. There are the chivalrous knights that slay dragons, all in the hope of winning the fair maidens hand in marriage. These are the heroes we grow up hearing about in stories and cartoons, and they all have one thing in common. Rescuing the girl.

The problem is I am not a girl. And all I wanted was a hero.

I gave up on my superman the moment I realised that the soaring feeling I felt wasn't me being swooped off to safety, but falling into a dumpster. I gave up holding out for my hero when he never showed up to slay my dragons. I had no hope for a hero until one day a hand reached in and pulled me to safety. My hero.

He may not be dressed in tights or armour, but the Mohawk wasn't too bad either.
