*Nick's POV*

I was with my brother, Joe, at some sort of dance club, I didn't know what the name was. Joe's the one that dragged me out there. Of course, he's gonna pick a Friday night to get me out of the house. He thought I was just unsocial and introverted. I mean, I was, but not completely. I was a lot more social about 5 years ago. But that's not the point.

"Nick!" I looked up at Joe. What?"

"Dude, you're zoning out again." I rolled my eyes. "Big deal."

"It means you're thinking too much. Again." Damn, he knew me too well. "You okay?" I looked up at him, his eyes full of concern. "Yeah, I'm just… sick and tired of… all the bullshit…" I shook my head slightly. "I'm gonna get some air." I walked towards the exit. I wasn't paying attention to the door as it almost hit me, opening before I could get to it.

"Oh, sorry." It was a girl coming back inside. She had long brown hair and brown eyes. It was a girl I knew really well. And I was in complete shock. "Are you okay?" she asked. "Uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm… I'm fine." She smiled. I couldn't help but smile back.

"Good. I didn't know someone was behind the door." She walked past me into the mix of people, and I realized… she had no idea who I was. I watched after her for a moment, then walked out.
