The Triforce's Shards

Ganon was sealed away by the hero of time, but some of his evil power was left behind. As a result the land was engulfed in water. Zelda's last words broke the triforce into 24 pieces, giving power to individual islands throughout the land.

Prologue

"Princess Zelda, 'O Princess Zelda!" a guard came running towards the golden-haired damsel.

"T-teh castle.. It's.." he was trying to say, breathless.

"Calm down! Here, have a glass of water." she said.

She picked up a fine looking wine glass, filled to the hilt with the replenishing liquid.

"Thank you, Princess. But teh castle!" he yelped.

"What is wrong!"

"It's... Sinking!"

Ganondorf had been sealed away by the Hero, but as an after-effect, some ofhis evil power was left behind. As a result, the whole of Hyrule was drowned into the sea...

Before herlast breath, Zelda chanted these words: "Let the triforce be shattered, and only grant the wish of the person who finds it's 24 shards, scattered across the land. May the Goddesses see fit that it won't fall into the wrong hands... And so may the shards fall into the hands of the hero of time andlegend. Courage, wisdom, and power. This person must have these traits. And may Hyrule be sealed away safely, until the shards come back together."
