It was a day in between the seasons. The returning contestants were busy packing and spending time with their friends. "I know, I couldn't believe it either!" Lindsay was saying into her cell phone. "Yes, I know…sorry. What? Where's Beth? She told me that she had to go to the Orthodoctists or something, to get her braces removed."
"Man, I can't believe we're stuck doing another season of this show." LeShawna said.
"It totally bites." Gwen agreed.
"On the bright side, at least we'll still be able to hang out." Trent pointed out.
"Yeah, not like things could get any worse than having to deal with Chris." DJ added.
"Well, I'm glad at least all of my friends are going through this with me." Gwen said.
"Yeah." Everyone was in agreement.
Duncan was in his cabin packing, when Courtney suddenly walked in. Things had gotten a little awkward since the case challenge. "Oh, hey." Duncan said. "This is kind of weird."
"We were on the same team last season, remember?" Courtney pointed out.
"Good point. So, what's up?" Duncan asked.
"Well, I wanted to let you know that I'll be cheering for you on Total Drama Action." Courtney told him. "I'll try to find some way to join you if I can. I've been working on another lawsuit for what happened last time."
"It just won't be the same without you." Duncan said. "I mean, you're the only girl around here who isn't slightly insane or weird."
"I'm sure we'll be able to work it out." Courtney said. They looked down at the suitcase and noticed that their hands were touching. "Sorry."
"It's no big deal." Duncan said. "You're totally cool." Courtney leaned forward and kissed him.
At the beach, the others were all hanging out. Justin was getting a ton of attention from Katie and Sadie. Gwen and Trent were sitting together watching the waves. Lindsay was with Tyler. "I'm going to miss you." Lindsay told him.
"Hey, don't sweat it." Tyler said. "I'll be cheering for you every step of the way. And, I'm always with you in here." He put his hand over her heart. Lindsay blushed.
Heather was on her own, reading some magazine. Harold was sitting by her, but she was trying to ignore him. LeShawna and DJ were just relaxing under the sun. A few minutes later, Chris showed up. "Hey, guys. We're getting the bus ready."
"Hang on, we're a few players short." Heather pointed out.
"Yeah, we can't find Geoff or Bridgette anywhere." Harold added.
"Not to mention Beth's not here and neither is Duncan." Lindsay said.
"If you ask me, Bridgette and Geoff are probably behind a tree making out or something." Duncan's voice startled everyone.
"And Beth kept going on and on about seeing the orthodontist." Courtney added.
"Well, I hope you're all packed, cause we leave first thing tomorrow." Chris told them. The others went back to doing what they were doing. Duncan and Courtney sat over by DJ and LeShawna.
"Wow, hard to believe it's all happening so fast." DJ said.
"Well, we better be ready for anything." Duncan said. "We never know what Chris will spring on us." Everyone looked out toward the water, thinking of how the first season had brought them together.
