I never thought i would fall for somebody so cold, but maybe thats why i did. Ruby always told me about her partner but never really explained exactly how she acted. She has walls to protect herself, but she doesn't enjoy it.
"I'm gonna do it," I say.
"Do what?" Ruby asks.
"I'm gonna ask her out," i say with confidence as Ruby spits out the cookie she was eating.
"Wait, your gay, why didn't you tell me?" she says with a pout sounding hurt.
"Because im not even out to dad yet and im just starting to accept it so please keep this quiet."
"Don't worry I'm not gonna tell anybody."
"Not gonna tell anybody what?" Weiss asks as she walks up.
"Nothing, I mean there nothing that i nees to keep hidden from you of course, I don't get why i would havw to keep any secrets from you and I'm just gonna be quiet now," I spit out.
"What she ment to say is that she is planning to ask someone out and was asking for advice," Ruby covers for me as i thank her silently.
"Well i know if it was me that someone was trying to ask me out i would want something romantic like roses and chocolate," Weiss answers honeatly as i try to hide my blush noticeing Ruby doing the same.
"What, was it somerhing i said,"
"Weiss, you gotta remember we are Roses," Ruby points out.
"I didn't mean it like that andyou know it," Weiss syas rather quickly while blushing.
"Well that being besides the point, Weiss do you mind helping Shade practice asking somebody out?" Ruby says with a sly grin as my face just completely drains of color.
"No, I don't mind."
"Ok, well first i need a flower," I say as i create a frozen white so with my semblance.
"I see you've been practice your ice creation, but have you been working with the other half as well?" Weiss asks with a little suprise in her eyes.
"Of course I have," I say as i create a small flame at the cemter of the rose. "Here you are the prettiest rose for the prettiest girl."
"S-so thats how you're gonna start it off, it seems kinda cheesy to me," Weiss says with a massive blush on her face. "
"Really cause to me it looks like its working," I say deciding to push my luck.
"That would be true if it were intended for me but I don't think it would work for this other person."
"JUST DO IT!!" I hear Yang yell from across the cafeteria.
"Do what?" Weiss asks looking confused.
"She wants me to ask you out while i still have the confodence to do so, so Weiss you wanna go to a movie this weekend or maybe dinner."
"Would love to but I-I can't, if my father found out about you then he wluld probably try to kill you, and i don't want you getting hurt so i will say ye for now but promise me that if thw time comes where we have to plit ways i want you to forget about me ok."
"First off, wether we date or not i will never forget you and i will never let anybody hurt you."
"Thats not what I ment."
"I know but you make it sound like i can't handle myself, i mean i can hold my own against Pyrha and she is a world champion."
"I know that but my father has an infinite amount of resources and money which means he can literally pay huntsmen to hunt you down."
"Well thats a risk I'm willing to take that risk if it means making you happy."
"I'm not gonna win this am I ?"
"Nope," I say with the biggest grin on my face.
"Fine then i will accept your request to a date this weekend, but I get too choose the movie," Weiss says with a smile.
"I didn't think you would actually say yes, but im way to happy to conplain."
"I guess I'll be seeing you this weekend," Weiss says with a smile.
