The man crouched down infront of the little boy, pushing his chin up gently, so they were looking into each others eyes. "Harry James Lupin Potter. I know you werent treated very nicely at the Dursley's, but now you're here I want you to remember that you have lots if people who love you. Me, your Auntie Minnie, Padfoot, your Mummy and your Daddy and lots of other people! So you talk to me, or Auntie Minnie or Padfoot, alright?" The young boy nodded solemnly, and the elder placed him on his lap stroking his hair til he fell asleep.
***quite a few years later***
Harry Potter stood on platform 9 3/4, waiting for his guardian, Remus Lupin to come through the barrier. When he did the pair walked briskly along the platform to another pair of people, a man the same age as Remus with shaggy hair, and a woman a few years younger with purple hair and purple eyes. They chatted for a bit, then Harry started tugging on Remus' arm "Moony, it's nearly time," he persisted. "alrighty cub, you say goodbye to Padfoot, I'm just telling tonks something." Harry hugged the shaggy haired man, and made him promise to write. He turned round and saw ... Remus and Tonks SNOGGING!? They sprung apart guiltily, realizing Harry had seen them. "goodbye Nymphadora." He said quietly. Tonks was hurt, he never called her that, only Dora if she was teasing him. Remus grabbed his hand and together they climbed into an empty carriage. Two boys who Harry already knew and a girl, who introduced herself as Hermione Granger, also came and sat in the carriage. After a while, Remus asked the trio to go and sit with the Weasley twins for a bit. When they were gone, he cast a charm on the carriage. "Harry James. What was up with you at the station? It's just been you and I for 6 years now, but Tonks and Siri have always been around, and Tonks haa been your babysitter since you were 4! You have friends who you will probably do the same things to in the future, not necessarily the same ones, but still friends. Am I not allowed to have friends?" He asked sternly. "Yeah, but friends don't kiss each other!" Harry pointed out obstinately. "When you were little, your mum and dad kissed all the time." When Harry growled, the man sighed, he could see this was getting them nowhere. "Alright, run off and find your friends," he conceded. Harry did just that.
