Cougar
Summary: Adelle/Topher implied. Topher thinks about Adelle after the events of 'Echoes'. Drabble. My first ever try at a Dollhouse fic! I don't expect many reviews for this as I know it isn't a popular pairing, but I hope you like it! Reviews and comments are appreciated!
He remembered; Topher remembered now. But the victory of finding the word that had so eluded him earlier was bittersweet, and far more the former than the latter. It was useless; pointless now that things had returned to normal, or as normal as they ever were at the Dollhouse. Adelle was back to treating him the same way she always did, as if today had been no different to every other. Even if she wanted to forget, Topher could do nothing but remember, well except for the fuzzy grey area where seemed to have lost his shoes and, more alarmingly, his pants.
He couldn't forget spending the day with the uninhibited, friendly and, dare he say it, fun Adelle DeWitt. She could play this any way she wanted to but Topher was sure that, even behind her rebuild ice cold exterior, Adelle would remember today too. Unfortunately incidents of the day were going to make it even more difficult to be around Adelle. Until now, Topher had keep his feelings; his desires for Adelle to himself but now he knew that the two of them could get on well together when they didn't have a professional front to maintain. Or perhaps, when Adelle didn't have to worry about overstepping the boundaries she had built. Topher had always had a weakness for the brunette, British beauty but now it was different.
He popped a straw in his juice box, opened a packet of 'crisps' and sighed. Adelle DeWitt, a cougar? Who would've thought?
