I left the room to leave her with Valkyrie.

Labor had been such a horrid experience.
But to give rise to new life, made the experience better. Even…wonderous?
Valkyrie started to whimper.
I quickly silenced her.
"Shh. Val,it's okay. Mommy's got you ."
"Y'know, Val,I'm sorry you never met my parents. But what happened to them will never happen to me."
