Dipper woke with a start. "Well, well, well..." He heard the familiar hauntingly robotic voice and he sat up in bed. A glowing triangle of light zipped around the room, finally landing on his lap.

"Hello, pine tree-"

"YOU!" Dipper whisper-shouted.

"Shhh, pine tree, you wouldn't want to wake the little shooting star, she happens to be dreaming."

"What are you doing here, you demon? You can't be here! Ford's put up a protection spell!" The triangle laughed.

"Why, you silly silly little tree. It's funny how dumb you are. I'm not actually here. And neither are you." Dipper suddenly realized that he wasn't. He was sitting on a tree in the forest, laying on fallen pine needles and his sister wasn't here either. That stump was a stump, and that tree was a tree.

"What did you do! Why am we here?" Dipper yelled. Bill blinked.

"You think I?" He laughed, and then stopped. "The real question is, why are YOU here?" Bill zoomed around him. "You came here all by yourself, kid."

Dipper blinked. He didn't remember... A hazy memory entered his mind, Wendy, Mabel, everyone..."They're all gone?" He asked, and tears glistened in his eyes. "But... How?"

Bill laughed. "You did it, pine tree."

"NO! You're lying! I... I never... You're lying!" But the more he said it the less he believed it.

"You murdered them. You killed them all. Even Mabel." Bill giggled. "If you think I'm lying, just walk back to the mystery shack, kid. You'll see all of their corpses. You deserted them..."

"No..."

"You smashed the rift..."

"No!"

"And now there is no one in this dimesion who is alive except you."

"No... No!" Dipper clawed the ground, screaming and crying. "You... I... I couldn't have..."

"Oh, but you did, pine tree." Bill fiddled with his cane. "You see, whoever smashed the rift destroys everything except themselves. I planned to do it in my own dimension, but you learned about the immortality that it came with and you just couldn't help yourself."

"No..."

"Yes. But, no matter how much I want to kill you right now, I can't. You will never die, never love, never have anything." Bill did a flip. "But at least you don't have to die!"

"No! You! If you hadn't have- If I- Mabel could've..." Dipper had nearly gone mad. "No... no... no... no..." He kept repeating those words, and Bill simply laughed.

"Why did you even want the rift! You already have immortality!" Dipper screamed, tearing his hair out. "No, as much as I wish that were true, I don't, and you took that away from me." Now Bill seemed to glow red, and his eye bulged. "I needed that rift, I needed to destroy them for what they did to me!" Now he was growing in size, screaming. "I COULD'VE MADE THEM PAY, KID! ALL OF THEM! I DON'T EVEN WAN'T TO HURT THIS DIMENSION! I JUST WANT TO GET ALL OF THEM BACK!" Now Bill was huge. Dipper didn't even care.

"What was so bad in your dimension that you had to smash the rift for!" Dipper screamed.

"THEY KILLED MY ONLY FRIENDS AND THEY MADE ME A MONSTER! I FELT JUST LIKE YOU, KID! I HAD TO KILL THEM ALL! MAKE THEM SUFFER AND YOU TOOK THAT AWAY FROM ME!Bill's voice was everywhere, filling dipper's head and smoking through his brain.

"But, of course, you needed to be alone forever just like me so you had to smash the rift for yourself!" Bill surrounded him, a glowing mass of redness and eyes.

"I can change it, get them back..." Dipper whispered, blood pouring from his body.

"No, you can't stop the future, kid, but it'd be fun to watch you try! CUTE EVEN!"

Suddenly it was all gone. He was in his room, and everything was normal.

"You can't stop the future..." It echoed in his mind like a bad dream. "And that's all it was. I'll never do something as stupid as that." He said to himself, and tried to go back to bed.

"Oh, but you will, pine tree, just try and stop you."
