Brawn, not brains. That's what a lot of kids think of me. Just because I'm physically strong and my tastes in music and clothes are what people associate morons with. If they ever bothered to take a second look (which trust me, they don't), they would see perfect 4.0's in all of my subjects.

But hey, they're high school student's. Their lives are based solely on looks. It's not like they're going to walk up to me and ask what the square root of the hypotenuse of a right triangle with a circumference of 56 and one leg being 7 is (which the answer is actually 5 believe it or not). Nor are they really going to ask me how to say "you're a moron" in French (which is "vous êtes un crétin" respectfully or "tu es un crétin" disrespectfully).

Seriously, the kids just naturally assume I am a moron (je suis un crétin) because of the way I look and dress. Edward tells me, they take one look at me, and think "Woah, he's strong. Don't want to mess with him." and if they ever get around to looking at me a second time "You can tell he's just a moron. What kid like that isn't?" It's quite insulting really.

This time, I'm doing school my way. I don't care what Carlisle says. I'm going to play this time around. I'm going to have fun, and let everyone know that I am smart, and that I do think about more than just my looks and my strength. Maybe I'll join the drama club or maybe the math team. I don't know. I just know that this time, I will prove to everyone that Emmett Cullen is more than just a pretty boy. This time I'll show them that I have brains as well as brawn.

A/N: I decided to write a little fic about how I think Emmett truely feels. While the whole "Emmett is a moron" thing is fun to write, and creates a good laugh, I like to think that there is more to Emmett than his looks and strength. If I ever get past the road blocks in my two other stories I'm working on right now, I'd like to add more to this story. Ideas are welcome. Thanks for reading!
