A Dream or not

A Dream or not

In her dream, May was ten years old again, standing next to her Eevee. The moonlight reflected on the silky strands of her long brown hair, creating a halo around her face, she looked around cautiously. It seemed that she had been Teleported to Lover's Cove in Jhoto.

A soft rustle behind her startled her and she whirled around quickly, instinctively raising fire to her fingers. It lit the place with a soft glow, casting light on the person who had discovered her. It was a boy her age, one she obviously knew and was familiar with. The younger May relaxed and with her, May did as well. He was taller than May with clear emerald eyes that matched May's own sapphire. An Absol stood by his side, tall and proud. Eevee stepped forward, dissolving the illusion that she held. She was actually an Espeon, graceful and elegant.

The boy (Why couldn't she remember his name!) had a strong magical aura, bright and controlled, the same emerald of his eyes. It reached out her ruby aura instinctively, twining and blending in a swirl of colours. They smiled easily, obviously at ease with each other, chatting and discussing topics that eluded her memory, however hard she tried to recall. Only one thing was certain. He was a coordinator and a very good one.

Then, soft words murmured under the influence of moonlight, and they were kissing, softly, emotion charged, the culmination of all their hopes and dreams. Again, May futilely tried to recall the other's name, but could only remember the delightful sensations, the thrill of her first sweet kiss.

She turned at a soft rustle, behind the couple, a dark haired girl with sapphire eyes who might have been a ten year old Annabelle held her Celibi, using its powers to lock away their memories, the whispered promise, blown away and muffled by the wind that they would half remember and dream it till they were older and able to deal with such a love. Until a day should come to pass that they would remember and love once more, this time forever. Annabelle would forget too, till their memories returned the price to pay for using that power, she knew instinctively.

She woke once more thrilled and happy certain in her love and resolved to wait patiently for they day when they would be reunited once more.
