A Day in my Life
Hope-Isabelle Isis shows you what a day in her life is like.

Hope's POV
I wake up with a jolt.
I'm sweating badly. The same dream has haunted me for years.
Hair, long, long hair is all I see. Then the dream ends.
My room in the orphanage is all I see.
The caramel hair from my dream is all I remember.
And a small whisper.
She's here, Quentin. She's here.
I rub myself on the sides, making sure I'm not burning.
Not smelling my own flesh burning.
Not crying, because they are.
Tanya says you get used to this place when you've been here since you were born.
Well, I've been since 6 months old.
I'm not used to it.
Maybe that's cause she's older, more seasoned with this place.
I still don't like it.
My room, the one I share with Jade and Tanya is a mess.
The room is entirely pink on their side. Mine is blue.
An old, gray, worn out blue. It looks like it has been here for a century. But this prison has been here only for 8 years.
I wrinkle my nose a bit.
It smells of mild mildew.
Wait no, that's me.
I snug on a tight dark blue dress. Flowers edge the rim. It's long. It's pretty. That's all that matters to orphan buyers.
I sway back and forth a bit, getting used to the feel of it.
I snug on a black jacket and matching shoes.
I gladly walk out of the mess.
The room I walk into is our foyer. It's bright. Sadly, it's only electrical lights, not natural.
Riley, Annie, and Lisa are watching Sesame Street. Singing the Elmo's World theme song as loud as they can.
I grabbed the remote and changed it to Magic School Bus for Tara, Emma, and Maya, who were whining because they didn't get what they wanted to watch.
I here so much squealing as The Frizz steps on the screen.
"Please shut up." I beg underneath my breath.
I walk over to a small section of the room and cried for 5 minutes.
My parents left me here. I was 6 months. I was learning how to walk!
Why'd they leave me here was something I wondered everyday.
I then dried my tears, and went to watch Magic School Bus.

Hey guys! So if you're wondering what this is, it is Paper Towns. It's written by John Green, author of The Fault in our Stars. So yes, I made this as close as possible to someone going through this situation. When my parents where young, one had to go through foster care, the other an orphanage. This is purely based on the orphanage.
I will next write a teenage pregnacy story on Magic School Bus.
