Mikan POV
BRING. BRING. BRING.
I shut off the damn alarm clock, grumpy that I woke up so early. Who was so stupid to set it to 10 AM? Wait...
5 Seconds Later...
Oh yeah, me. Wait, why did I set it to 10 AM? Oh yeah. Work. I got dressed, brushed my teeth-don't mean to brag but they are sparkly clean- took my handbag and got out, heading to the stupid showbiz company thingamajig thingy.
Normal POV
Actually, the 'stupid showbiz company thingamajig thingy' was actually the company that only hires very popular celebrities and had VERY high standards. Why, you may ask that Mikan, a young girl, is going there? Ah, it's because of-Ah, never mind you will find out soon enough.
"Hotaru!" Mikan shouted, seeing her best friend. "Let's go. What 'cha waiting for?" She asked. "Nothing." Hotaru replied, emotionless. Truth is, though, she was worried that Mikan got lost or something. That baka was famous for messing up, she mused.
Hotaru and Mikan went into the building together, went to the couches and waited. They were personally instructed by Takeshi, their managers, to wait there.
The cat's out of the bag, eh? Okay, truth is, Mikan and Hotaru are...Drum rolls, please, celebrities! Okay, that was really no big deal.'Kay, I know you find me annoying so I'll shut up now.
Takeshi arrived as usual, on the dot. He led the girls to his office, sat down and started talking. "Mikan, Hotaru, have you decided?" He added, "To go to Alice Academy to test your- ahem, acting skills. See if you can convince them." Mikan and Hotaru sighed. This is why this company is stupid, Mikan thought. It has some serious issues.
"Yes, I have decided. I'll go to your stupid school. But before that, why do me and Hotaru have to act like a nerds?" Mikan asked. Takeshi pushed his glasses up and replied, "To prove your acting skills. Yes, I know you're all great actresses but, you have to follow the rules. And anyway, we already shortened your stay to 1 year."
"Fine." The girls said at the same time. For my mother, Mikan and Hotaru both thought. In the past Mikan and Hotaru's mothers wished them to follow their footsteps. Before they died, of course. And with the girls' agreement, Takeshi got started in dressing them into socially awkward geeks.
Two Hours Later
Mikan POV
I look weird. The glasses keep slipping off. Hotaru says it's fine, but it looks weird. Freaky. At least she looks okay. She does have glasses like mine but hers looks much better. Heck a lot better, I tell ya.
"You look disgusting." My oh-so-beloved-manager said rather bluntly. "Oh, thank you very much," I said sarcastically, "Damned manager." I muttered. Takeshi didn't catch that and told us, "You'll be leaving tomorrow. A piece of advice, kids, don't remove your disguise anywhere. People are watching you everywhere. Good luck." With that, we were dismissed from his office.
Hotaru went her way and I went home. I took a quick shower and slept, wondering how my first day would be like.
