A Lover's Rage

Xion and I were fighting for their lives. We left Org. XIII, and they sent Saix after us. We stood, back-to-back at Memory's Skyscraper, fighting an army. An army of Berserkers.

I was fighting tooth and nail to stay alive. Xion and me were done with the Org. They treat us like trash. I finished two Berserkers at once with a quick sweep of Oblivion. Then, I heard a scream. Saix had appeared in front of Xion and slashed her with Lunatic.

"Xion, no!" I screamed. Saix snapped his fingers, and the Berserkers stopped moving. Now he spoke.

"Why so sad, Roxas? She was only a worthless puppet."

"You didn't know her!" I shouted. "How dare you! She was kind, and-"

"She was weak." I slashed at him with Oathkeeper. Saix blocked, counterattacked, then slammed the ground creating a shock-wave that sent me flying. "Why do you fight for her Roxas? Why waste your time?"

"I love her!" I shouted charging at Saix. This seemed to surprise him, because he didn't block in time. Instead Saix was slammed to the ground, and Lunatic went spinning out of his hand. I was pinning him down with Oblivion at his throat and Oathkeeper on his arms. But he still mocked me.

"You love her? When did you acquire a Heart?" I couldn't explain, not even to myself. But somehow I knew I loved her.

"Shut up!" I shouted.

"Going to kill me Roxas? Xion would hate you if you did. Do you even have the nerve to?"

"How would you know what Xion would hate? To you she's only a puppet!" But the hand holding Oblivion shook slightly. Saix didn't waste his advantage. He shoved me off and snapped his fingers again teleporting out of the fray, as the Berserkers charged again. A fire burned in my Heart, and I was crazy with hate. I roared and stood with my arms outstretched. In a burst of Light the Berserkers were destroyed. Every last one of them.

"Fight me you cowered!" I screamed. Saix snapped his fingers again, and Lunatic reappeared in his hand. Saix charged. We were both dueling with all our strength. As we exchanged blows Saix continued to mock me.

"You were never meant to exist. Xion was your replacement, for when you inevitably failed." Our fight took us next to Xion. I glanced at her forgetting my rage for a split second. It was all Saix needed to knock me off my feet again.

"Pitiful Roxas. So weak for a Keyblade Wielder. And as for this useless puppet." He kicked Xion in the face. For a moment I froze in shock. Then my rage overcame me again. I moved faster then I thought possible, and Saix just barely managed to block. I had swung with both Oathkeeper and Oblivion. Sparks were flying as all three weapons grinded against each other. We were both panting as Saix spoke his last taunt.

"Everything you know is a lie, including her. Neither of you truly exist."

"I don't care!" I shoved Saix away. He stabbed at at me, with the point on the handle of his weapon, and connected. I was thrown to the ground again, and Saix stood over me ready to deliver the final blow. But then there was a horizontal streak of light across his chest, and Saix fell to the ground.

"Xion!" Xion had struck the blow.

"Roxas!" She shouted. I jumped up and hugged her. Tears ran down my face as I held her.

"Xion, I thought he had killed you." Xion returned my embrace. I whispered into her ear.

"I love you Xion."

"I love you too Roxas." She whispered back. After an eternity we broke apart. I looked down at Saix, but he was sinking into a Dark Corridor. I heard a sob as it closed...

(I realize that this is a complete impossibility, as Roxas was unable to use two Keyblades until after Xion's death, but hey that's why it's called fiction.)
