"Alice, are you—" I began, but her finger pressed against my lips hushing me from continuing my whine and then the pout, and then the sadness that sent a pang of guilt whirling through me. For someone who could control emotions, controlling Alice should be easy, but she knew my weakness.

"We haven't gone out dancing in decades," she argued in the sweetest voice she could muster. She didn't know all my weakness. My laughter cut her off from yet another beg, but I merely continued laughing.

"I can feel how much concentration in acting you are indulged in right now, my love," I replied and she scowled, but I sent a wave of lust toward her and her frustrated groan stopped midway for a kiss. "Ahh, see? Not going."

When I eased up a bit, she pulled away from me, grabbing my book that I had been indulged in before she had barged through the door to mention the exciting news and slammed it shut taking it with her to the door of our walk-in closet.

The sudden wave of certainty from her end sent me into a somewhat nervous state, but I shook it off. "Why so certain?" I questioned casually, getting up to retrieve my book.

"Jasper, Jasper, Jasper…" she began, her fingers dancing over the suits she had bought me for various occasions I had been forced to attend trying to search for which one would look better. "My dear, you know I can see the future and yet you continue to play dumb! I see you and I, Rosalie and Emmett all heading to prom, so naturally you will go! There hasn't been a change in the scenario for weeks."

That's it… She won. Once again the love of my existence has beat me. So much for being able to control emotions... If I sent a wave of uncertainty toward her, she still wouldn't back down.

An half hour later, Bella arrived and Alice left from tying my tie to primping the human nearby. I immediately stopped my unnecessary breath for fear of taking advantage of how close I was to human blood and from the silent warning of Edward's hesitation as well.

Emmett whacked my back and I could see the competitive gleam in his eye. I knew he was planning on finishing our unfinished wrestling match, but Rosalie's choice of clothing for him and stern growl from behind us, he'd be waiting until after he got out of his suit.

We all went toward the garage and I sat in the back of Rosalie's crimson red BMW convertible, trying not to gag at the lust pouring off of Emmett and sheer triumph off of Rosalie and their blatant show of affection for each other right in front of me. I prayed for Alice to join us quick and she did. I silently thanked Edward.

"You look dashing, Jazz," she whispered to me and I now felt the admiration and nerves?

"Are you—" I began, but she cut me off from continuing.

"I can't… see anything," she began and I sent a wave of serenity over my love's petite frame.

"Excitement, my love," I justified and she seemed to agree for the time being.

Just then had I realized we had stopped the car in the parking lot, the small lights that had lit up the school were leaking from the windows and I could feel a wave of nerves from all of my human classmates and yet a glimmer of confidence from Rosalie.

We first made our way toward the corner of the gym far from the arch of balloons and exaggerated pastel paper decorations toward the entrance, but then Alice dragged me toward the dance floor.

The excitement was refreshing compared to all the gawky awkward male teenagers and bubbly infatuated female classmates around us and we were off in a whirl, dancing better than anyone around us could or tried. We were easily in the limelight for a moment before Rosalie's dress became the focus and I grunted.

"What?" Alice asked with a smile, running her fingers though my blonde curled hair.

I shook my head and then shot a glance to Rosalie. On a turn, Alice caught the gaze and nodded slightly, looking back toward me. "Typical," I added and then laughed as Emmett jokingly bowed and kissed her hand before bringing her to dance as well. "And yet no one will mess with Emmett. Such a perfect pair," I added once the relief of the sexual desires rushed away from those eyeing my sister.

"You know who else is a perfect pair?" Alice questioned and I spun her around again and once she was back in my arms, she stood o her tiptoes, but still failed to reach my lips so I craned my neck and granted her a kiss.

"I'm thinking…" I added jokingly and she smiled. We spun once again and then… pride?

I saw Edward coming toward us, Bella looking… "You got her in that?" Emmett asked suddenly close to us. Rosalie grunted in response.

"It wasn't that tough," Alice said grinning as we spun once again. Alice shot her an encouraging smile and then looked toward me.

"Relief," I answered simply.

"Good," she grinned and pressed another kiss now to my cheek. There was a twang of anger and I looked over toward the couple. Bella seemed confused and Edward's eyes were locked on the door. "So that's why I couldn't see anything," Alice spoke my thoughts as if she could hear them.

"So that's why it reeks," Emmett said with a chuckle.

Jacob Black entered the gym and went right toward Bella, but as Edward turned to walk away, Alice stopped our dancing. Edward could just read his thoughts, right? No big deal.

"How's she—" Alice began to me in a whisper as we approached the table and sat with Edward.

"Confused," I answered. Edward smirked slightly and rolled his eyes.

"Bella is being warned… once again," he replied and I nodded. Alice sat on my lap and I slid my arms around her waist pressing a kiss to her shoulder. "Control your thoughts," Edward murmured in disgust.

"I didn't—" I began and Edward glared at Alice who looked down seeming embarrassed. "You truly are one sexy little—"

"Please," Edward begged and I stopped short.

"Humor," I added at Bella's change in emotion. "Lust—ugh, Emmett and Rosalie," I recognized and grumbled and looked toward them, but not being able to find them.

Then Edward was up and Bella was dancing with him once again. "I don' think the lust was from Rosalie and Emmett," Alice told me quietly, touching my cheek and guiding my gaze toward Rosalie and Emmett who were laughing as he spun her widely before catching her in a tight embrace.

My gaze went back to Alice who looked at me with a grin, her fingers on my tie and her other hand mindlessly running through my hair.

"You, my love, need to control your emotions," I taunted.
