WHEN THE RATS COME MARCHING IN
When they come marching in
Everything is dark
They start to snarl and gnaw
At the tiny piece left of my heart
They bite and stab and make me feel sick
I just want to throw up
But I haven't eaten anything
So there's nothing to come up
I want to scream I want to shout
The pain is just too much
The world just keeps on spinning
And everyone's in a rush
So the days just blend into one
And once I get them to go away
Hours to days to months of pain
They decide to permanently stay
I try to fight to sleep at night
The pain clashes in my head
I think of HER and start to cry
Just lying in my bed
They look at me like in a disease
Like I'm a little teaboy
With a cyber women girlfriend
That wanted to destroy
But when HE looks at me
My body feels a change
What the hell is wrong with me?
Am I crazy or deranged?
He gives me a big hug
And tells me it will be alright
But why is it HIM not HER
I dream about at night
My heart died with her
And now it's a ghoust
HE makes it come alive
Like it has a host
His smile runs them away
It grants me relief
But then when HE goes away
The light blows away like a leaf
I don't know whats wrong with me
