"What do you mean I've got BLUE hair? FRED? GEORGE!" Ron Weasley looked slightly...put out as he examined his hair in the mirror of the Burrow's living room.
Fred and George's heads appeared seemingly from thin air as they peeped around the corner. "You called?"
"What have you done to my hair!? I've Auror training tomorrow. I can't go like this! What'll everyone think?"
Hermione heard Harry mutter something about smurfs under his breath and tried not to smirk. Ron looked like an angry troll as he paced around the room. No, he really did look like a troll? A...Smurf? A Thing. His face kept getting redder and redder.
"Change me back, you prats!"
Fred and George shared a sheepish look. "No can do, Ronny-kins."
"Not in our control."
"We haven't quite figured out how to reverse it yet. Needed a test subject."
"Didn't want to ruin these beautiful locks and disappoint the ladies," George added.
"You already disappoint them, George," Fred jested, which earned him a slug on the shoulder.
"WHAT? YOU...Y-YOU..." Ron spluttered, at a loss for words.
Both twins just shrugged, grinning.
"Interesting. Didn't know it caused loss of speech. Have to add that to the side effects, George."
"Fantastic, Freddy."
They both looked so serious that Harry started to laugh and Hermione could not longer hide her smile.
"Think this is funny, d'you?" Ron was not laughing.
Hermione grabbed his arm and practically dragged him to the nearest mirror, which exclaimed in horror when it saw him. "Look at yourself, Ronald! You look like a troll."
He got the first good look at himself (the first time, he'd only glanced, too scared to look fully). And he whirled about, in a Snape-like fashion, with billowing robes, and glared at his brothers, before he left the room.
Ron managed to stomp every stair on his way to the showers to try to remove the dye.
However, as he reached the bathroom, they heard him yell. "THE EYEBROWS TOO? AUGH!"
Hermione and Harry caught each other's eyes and started to laugh again. She practically doubled over in mirth when picturing Ron's bright blue hair. Harry was guffawing even harder now.
Hermione just happened to look up and saw Fred watching her, his eyes twinkling. It was then she realized that this was the first time she had truly laughed since the War ended a month ago.
-Note: Extremely cliché, but I promise it will be good. For now, this will remain a 1-2 shot until I have time to really write, which my job does not allow at the moment. If you are interested in reading more, let me know and I will try to write more this weekend!
