Edit: Thanks a lot for the reviews & I know it's really short. But like I said in the summary, I wrote this as a little extra for a picture I drew, I didn't plan to make it a fanfiction actually, so there aren't many details or something.

Maybe I'm going to write another, longer one or a sequel to this at some time. Anyway, thanks for reading!

2D sat in the kitchen on Plastic Beach, his legs propped up on the table, being bored out of his brains. Absentmindedly, he watched Cyborg Noodle who was doing the dishes – she didn't really seem too happy either.

"Hey," the singer began silently – no reaction. "Cyborg!" he said a bit louder.

The robotic girl turned around abruptly, staring at him with wide light green eyes. If he hadn't known better, 2D would have thought she hadn't even realised his presence before.

"What is it, 2D-san?" she replied with her high but smooth voice as she put the last plate into the cupboard.

2D hesitated for a few seconds, then pulled himself together and asked: "Do you want to go outside? It's such a nice evening," right after finishing his sentence, he realised how stupid that must have sounded and resisted the urge to stand up and run away immediately, scared of Cyborg Noodle's possible reaction.

But at first she didn't say anything at all. She just looked at him through her thick fringe, probably thinking of what to do. After some moments, she muttered: "I don't think Murdoc-sama would allow that." To 2D's great surprise, he could hear disappointment in her voice which encouraged him to try harder. It was not like he hated Cyborg. He just hated the fact that she looked like Noodle and that Murdoc had created her to replace the guitarist.

"Nah, why would he forbid it?" he smiled as he got up from his chair and approached the robot. "Let's just ask him!" With these words, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her with him to the studio where he knew Murdoc was working.

Without knocking 2D entered the room with Cyborg Noodle in tow. "Hey, Mudsie!" he exclaimed cheerfully. The bassist looked up from his paperwork and glared at him. "What?" he asked, gnashing his teeth.

"Would it be okay if Cyborg and me went to the coast for a bit?"

Murdoc stared at 2D, then at Cyborg who was kind of hiding behind the singer, then back at 2D. After some moments of silence, he sighed and shrugged. "Why the fuck not, at least you two won't annoy me then."

The singer jumped. "Thanks, Muds!" he cheered as he turned around, shoving Cyborg out of the studio.

"But don't forget your trackers!" The bassist yelled after them. "If I can't spot your signals on the radar, I'm going to throw both of you into the fucking ocean!"

On their way outside, 2D saw Cyborg's guitar lying on the couch. "We could make some music outside!" he suggested beaming at the robot and for the first time, she actually smiled back and nodded.

2D smirked complacently, grabbing the instrument, then headed to the front door and Cyborg Noodle followed him.
